Thats not snoring i had a pet rat called Chumpy and he made that noise and it turned out that he had phuemonia,but the lady at Pets at home said that they make that sound.....A year later the poor thing had to be put down because he could no longer breath.:( :( :(

He's not snoring. Hamsters do not snore by the way(its what my vet told me. IM NOT SURE IF THEY DO OR NOT)& she told me if they do they don't make sounds that you can actually here. I think something is wrong with your hamster, I am nor sure what is wrong with your hamster.

Not snoring.  Sounds like respiratory issue. I have bred hamsters for over twenty years. You should NOT hear the hamster breathing like this!

Being a hamster specialist, this is not snoring. It is a respiratory infection. I advise you to get this little ham to the vet ASAP. Also, make sure you are using CareFresh bedding for him!

if its too much dust inhaled..why dosnt he do it when hes awake? mine does the same. hes not well :( but my vet has said its snoring and normal to make small squeeking sounds when asleep.

Please make sure your hamster does not have pine shaving bedding, it has aromatic oil in it and it directly causes a resporatory infection- and DEATH. Please be cautious of this as I had a hamster die due to the issue of not knowing this. Many stores carry aspen shavings- aspen shavings have no aromatic oil.
