  • Can you tell me where you got the background Picture.

  • So mid-Trib (3 1/2 years after his 7 year covenant of "peace"), the AC violates that peace, stops the sacrifice, sets up the Abomination of Desolation, and there is 1290 days until Christ's Glorious Appearing. Daniel is saying when those in the Trib see the AoD, they can count the days until Christ returns.

  • I'm in agreement w/ everything u said--except no one knowing the day of Jesus' Second Coming. Dan. 9:27: "He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ (7 yrs) In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice & offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed" Then Dan. 12:11: “Frm the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished & the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days."

  • I pray it is the Feast of First Fruits this

spring because many are saying the big

earthquake will hit the west coast by

    Feast of Trumpets this fall.

  • Please stop these incessant recitals and preaching.. you only further line the pockets of the men who call themselves priests and clergymen of the church. In goodness there are no churches no recitals no preaching no material business but a trust, a love and a faith in ur fellow man alone. Stop the endless manipulation of those whose wallets swell like bloated pigs. This isn't religion its a business.. please look with open eyes and hearts. God is 'u'..God is 'I' God is 'everyone'. A friend.

  • Let God do His work and maybe for now you just need to be silient in this area at least with me. Thank you.

  • Can you present evidence of a pre-trib doctrine to be held by any part of the church, before it came from John Nelson Darby's pen, in the mid 19th century?

If not, how did do you suppose the church missed this doctrine for the 1700 years prior to Darby?

  • PRE-TRIB RAPTURE IS HERE:

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

SO 70 WEEKS ARE DETERMINED UPON DANIEL'S PEOPLE ISRAEL. The Church is between the 69th and the 70th week. The 70th week is upon Israel.

  • In other words you have no evidence that the church ever held this belief before John Nelson Darby penned the doctrine in the mid-19th century.

Indeed scant little more evidence that Darby's 7-year tribulation for it to be "pre" exists as well.

    Come show me:

  • We are the body of Christ. In the book of Acts verse 28 and when Paul was called the mystery of the body of Christ began; hidden in God BEFORE the foundation of the world. You won't find us in the bible UNTIL Paul. God set aside Israel and called all both jew and greek male and female free and bond. We are the mystery separate from the NATIONAL call of Israel and their earthly kingdom. After we are called to our heavenly place then will God again be dealing with Israel.

  • cont. I fell for the lie about the rapture being started by Darby but the early church believed this and it got lost in the dark ages. Right divsion of the word of truth is the key. National Israel will have an earthly promise fulfilled but Paul says under the authority of the GLORIFIED Christ we are not to know Jesus after the flesh and we the body have an heavenly calling. God has a major program and the body is one part but Paul says we have a higher calling. Praise God for His wonderful plan

  • Accusation of lying with no evidence, regarding Darby and "pre-trib" rapture.

Here are some folks who hold the doctrine, but became stunningly silent when it came to supporting it historically:

    fulfilledprophecy. com/discussion/viewtopic. php?f=13&t=46259

    or scripturally:

    fulfilledprophecy. com/discussion/viewtopic. php?f=13&t=46259

Come show me this doctrine's place in history.

    One body - many members.

1Cr 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

  • Ironside a supporter of Darby admitted in his Mysteries of God, p.50: "...until brought to the fore through the writings of...Mr. J. N. Darby, the doctrine taught by Dr. Scofield [i.e., the Seven-Year Tribulation theory] is scarcely to be found in a single book throughout a period of 1600 years. If any doubt this statement, let them search, as the writer has in measure done, the remarks of the so-called Fathers, both pre- and post-Nicene, He will find the 'mystery' conspicuous by its absence."

  • The body of Christ ;the mystery ;that is belonging to the kindom of His Dear Son, won't be here as this time is for Israel. Israel has been set aside as a nation. Carefully read the whole book of Acts and see when this happened. The scriptures are clear on this but much confusion comes when we don't rightly divide the truth. This is my stand on this subject. I've already gone through what you are teaching and I reject it as false.

  • But you didn't present any scriptural evidence, nor any historical evidence, of this doctrine being found in the church prior to Darby's pen.

    Divide indeed:

1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Perhaps better framed that you reject it because it is inconsistent with an unsupportable doctrine you have been taught.

If that's not the case then please come and present your scriptural and historical evidence. Bring your best & brightest:

  • Yes I did the whole book of Acts.

Our apostle Paul had no tolerance for anything other than the pure "gospel of the grace of God" (Acts 20:24; Gal. 1:6-12). He demanded that it always be taught in a crystal clear manner. That meant salvation being proclaimed as a gift of God's grace, apart from man's works, and received through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (I Cor. 15:1-4; Eph. 2:8,9; Rom. 3:24-28).

  • cont.

Beyond this, Paul taught that he was not sent to baptize, "lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect" (I Cor. 1:17).Today there is only "one baptism" (Eph. 4:5 and that is the baptism of the Holy Spirit which places us into the Body of Christ at the moment of salvation (I Cor. 12:13). Once saved, we are eternally secure, because we are "sealed" with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit "unto the day of redemption" (Eph. 4:30).

  • Our security is not based on our performance but in the power of God. Paul also taught that miraculous signs such as "tongues" and "prophecies" have been "done away" with by the completion of Scripture (I Cor. 13:8-11). Therefore, any today who would claim special revelations from God, or miraculous powers, are deceivers. Today God uses His written Word to provide all that we need for our doctrine and daily walk.

  • Paul asked some of his converts "if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward"? (Eph. 3:2). They needed to understand that the days in which we are living, and the program we are under, are different from anything at any other time in history. In the preceding chapter, he explained that "in time past" Gentiles were not a part of God's dealings.

  • None of which supported your claim:

"I fell for the lie about the rapture being started by Darby..."

But Darby (via Ribera) IS responsible for this doctrine making it's way into the 20th century church via C.I. Scofield.

You did not show where "the early church believed this".

Certainly raptureready. com and Thomas Ice pre-trib rapture center have the biggest axes to grind. Why don't they include all the historical support that you claim is to be found in the early church?

  • You can't get any earlier than Paul.

  • Futurist Dr. Harry Ironside admitted in his Mysteries of God, p.50: "...until brought to the fore through the writings of...Mr. J.

  • Look I started off a furturist pre-trib dispensationalist; then for a VERY short while lol wondered into the preterist camp; then for a period of time stayed in the historist camp. I also know about the other camps mid-tirb post-trib pre-wrath etc etc.I came back to my roots as it is right division. I've studied all over. If you need to be where you are for now well then just be. Let God do His work and maybe for now you just need to be silient in this area at least with me. Thank you.

  • Why did you believe you have to buy a doctrine like Alcazar's preterist heresy, or the catholic bashing historicist?

It is you that can't be silent. I supported. You failed to.

You hold a traditional continuous historic context for Old Testament prophecy then abandon it for Darby in New Testament context.

Darby's doctrine evaporates on a single simple concept. The "man of sin" and the "temple of God" in which he sitteth:

  • @PeteWaldo iranaeus of lyon, 2nd century a.d.. ephraim the syrian, 373 a.d. "on the last times, the antichrist, and the end of the world"- "for the saints and the elect of God are gathered prior to the tribulation that is to come and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins". do not believe the lies of the unbelieving world. God gave us the blessed hope of the rapture. do not call Him a liar as the world does.

  • @hiodr "iranaeus of lyon, 2nd century a.d.. ephraim the syrian, 373 a.d."

There is not shortage of writing in the second century and beyond. Why do you suppose it wasn't canonized? What did John say?

Revelation 1:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in THE tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

  • @hiodr Because of Jesuit Ribera/John Darby's futurist, and Jesuit Alcazar's preterist doctrine's, the "church" CANNOT EVEN CONSIDER that Muhammad could be THE FALSE PROPHET, even though the greatest - and only unpardonable - sin in Islam is committed if a Muslim confesses Jesus is the Son of God. ALL Muslims must reject the crucifixion and blood that would save them, as an article of their faith in Muhammad. Through the TRADITIONAL CONTEXT the truth will set you free.

  • MARANATHA!

  • Rureyeswideopen sent this. But all I can say is we must be ready in season and out.Whether good times or bad.And also, if we are having trouble coping now with economic, mental or physical temptations. If now when we have resources, of integritous friends, fine teachings, and strong family foundations.if we during this time find it hard coping -what will it be like when no family is around, churches are closed and the bibles are destroyed? We have to put the Word in our hearts now.

    Thanks.

  • hhmm Song of Solomon. In all honesty if perry stone didn't point out a portion of it relating to The Rapture in Songs of Solomon I would have never desired to research the Book of Solomon. And the things is Jesus tied his coming with it....quite fascinating. Our God is An Awesome God

  • If you think that's cool, reread the Exodus and you will see a beautiful type and shadow of the rapture with Moses being a type and shadow of Jesus. Be blessed!

  • Our blessed hope.

  • I am very sorry for the passing of your Father. My mother went home to glory in while in my arms on October 6th, 2008. I miss her every single day and night. I look forward to seeing her and Dad again with us all around the throne of Jesus, our Beloved King.

  • thanks for sharing your missed ones with me too. I miss my father very much and even though I am in Canada now all of my dreams are with my (deceased )parents in Romanian contexts. Some people are so blessed to have their parents Christians and have them near until they are very old. I am waiting to meet our Lord at the rapture and meet my parents too and all the saints. Maybe it would happen this Spring.

  • My beloved is coming...soon! Glory to the LORD! God bless you, Maranatha!
