This vacuous, melodramatic fiasco is a pathetic collection of tit-for tat wanton yelps that would have riled up a 5th grade recess or perchance those with even lower IQs and less mental capacities (like Congress) or even the USC football team. However this disease of ignorance, short attention spans and inbred loyalty to ignorance is no longer an issue for just the older generation
Congratulations today's college students! Now you are officially your parents!
I was there and wrote the story on this for our campus paper-- to watch it even now, almost a year later, is upsetting. It was such an intense day...oh look, there I am! with the journalists!
lmfao, i can just imagine a high school student somewhere in the midwest applying for college, who is thinking about applying to sf state, and youtubing SFSU, then coming across this, GET OFF THE FCKIN FLAG, GET OFF THE FCKIN FLAG YOU FCKIN COMMUNIST, BUFFALO SOLDIER! BUFFALO SOLDIER!
There must be a right to commemorate 9/11 and honor the fallen in respectful silence. There must also be a right to debate. There was no reason to have both things at the same time in the same place, because it destroyed the right to commemorate. There are plenty of other times and places for debates. If this can be called a debate.
When people come to commemorate and instead are pushed into debate, this is a very ugly case of "bait and switch." No wonder people get angry.
This commemoration was a tragic mockery of the people who died on 9/11! Who gave the Democrats and Republicans, the very same two parties who cause hundreds of deaths worldwide, on a daily basis, the monopoly over commemorating the very people, they themselves caused to die?
As for debating, in a democracy any act can and should be challenged whenever a group of people decide there's a need for it! There was no violence on the part of the RCP, they held a performance to demonstrate their PoV.
If this was not violent, it was awfully close to it. Reminds me of how a group of older boys caught me when I was 9 and held a knife to my throat. Many decades later I described it to a lawyer, and he said, "This was an assault." "But they didn't start cutting," I said. "Doesn't matter, it's still an assault!"
Until then I thought it was their freedom of expression.
These creeps dance on the very edge of violence, and they know it.
Another twist, and another false comparison! You are a beginner demagogue, I see. Have you no intellectual pride? The reason why this was close to violece is that huge guy who wanted to pound White-House style "democracy" into RCP demonstrators!
And how about the people just commemorating the 9/11 just as people or as Americans. Regardless of party affiliations. I'm sure communists would be welcome too if they behaved like decent human beings.
Decent human beings? What an empty phrase, especially since "decency" is dictated from the higher social strata! As for people commemorating the 9/11 victims, I would even claim that the communists commemorated it in the best possible way - by demanding that they be avenged by punishing the people who caused their deaths, those people being the ruling clique of the United States!
I can just imagine myself going to theater to watch the Swan Lake, and all of a sudden a small group rises up in the middle of the ballet and starts yelling "Bush go to hell" and "Down with American imperialism" and other such slogans.
An ugly scene, isn't it. Well, this is much worse.
Such a comparison is merely rhetorical and completely logically invalid. But I think that even you know that - if you want to debate, try having at least some shreat of intellectual integrity...
He will beat your ass down....He will beat your ass down....He will beat your ass down....He will beat your ass down....He will beat your ass down....He will beat your ass down....He will beat your ass down....
Honestly, I don't think he was trying to debate anything. He was just pissed off beyond comprehension. Of course he was extremely redundant, but what else would anyone want to do but scream "YOU FUCKING COMMUNIST!" at some ungrateful far left asshole who has the audacity to A)step on the national ensign(Navy term for flag) and B) Disrupt a 9/11 memorial during a moment of silence. I'd be so disgusted that I wouldn't have anything else to say but "YOU FUCKING COMMUNIST!"to that Leftist buttfucker
people(everybody) need to respect each-other's point of views and opinions......everyone sees life, religion, ploitics, and relationships through different lenses, so people need to be mature, compassionate, and understanding, or we can't make legitimate arguements and get real results....violence solves nothing unless it's in self-defense, or in emergency situations...i'm from the north bay-area, and im very dissapionted that this happened in San Francisco.
Now that what I call a true American standing up for country and flag against the brain dead idiots against the memorial day. There is a time and place for everything and these idiots were in the wrong time and wrong place.
why does the dude with the dog have to sware and cant he see that they should be discussing, not fighting and argueing? Im not from a free country, so I will openly beat his drunk ass down! lol why cant you all say each others peice like the other guy said!
Cause theres nothing to discuss with a communist thats why freedom won and the Berlin wall fell. You fight oppressive people you don't ask them may I please have peace with you and would you please not oppress me. You fight them you don't respect their point of control over you because its their opinion to control you.
And you my friend do not live in a democracy, you might think you do, you dont. Furthermore Democracy and capitalism are not synonymous, I think you should look more into that. Communism and democracy can also exist in the same space also .. I think your a bit confused as to what each actually means, I dont means to say that to be ruder, Im just saying it how I see it. I am Socialist... are you aware of what that is? Peace
I live in a Democracy, and you do to. I think if you lived in a actual Communist country you might see things my way. Sorry if I believe in private property and not state property. Sorry if I believe in merit through hard work. Sorry if in Democracy I can start off poor in life with less and someday become your boss even if you started off better off than me. Socialism is a con that you bought into, and just like your comment above about this guy being a house negro is sad.
if anyone has bought into anything than this is it. I have been to many Communist countries, admittedly I thought China was run rather bad and not to the full ethos of Communism, and let me state I am not a huge fan of Communism, I am of Socialism tho and it seems to work well for the people of Venezuela and Spain as well as others...
Have you been there? I have, have you been to China? I have... have you been to Scotland? I live here, and yes I have been to the USA many times and I find its obsession with Corporate companies disgusting. You seem to be enslaved and not even know it...I could go on but whats the point. Peace
...sorry to go on... and you thinking my comment about the big guy is "sad" well my friend, some of us are at war and braindead walking zombies like this need taken out asap... Im sorry its how I feel and how many like me do also, I feel there is a whole movement going on under your nose your unaware of while you eat a McDonalds and slurp a Starbucks
Think what you want but, judge other nations civics before you judge your nation or mine or the black guy that goes against what you say. Socialism is a con democracy and capitalism is your freedom and how you earn your income nobody handed it to you. You said you did not like China well complain about Tibet not being free rather than thinking a black man is a buffalo soldier or a war in Iraq is wrong, when thats the sum of your logic. Peace and love means supporting the truly oppressed.
"capitalism is your freedom" this just shows how there is no way on God's green earth we could ever even find a middle ground. Capitalism has ruined this planet of ours! As for Tibet, speaking as someone who has raised over 2000 uk pounds for the children of Tibet and I continue to work for them you have opened a can of worms there you shouldnt have touched :)
Because this was supposed to be a commemoration of 9/11, and the communists have just destroyed it with swearing and obscenity and trampling on American flag. You don't have a discussion with someone who's just trampled on your freedom of assembly, you call the police. And if police is doing nothing, you defend your rights yourself. I am only sorry that communists didn't get bloody noses. They should've.
The communists too have the freedom to assemble and protest the vulgar abuse of deaths of mostly innocent people by mainstream parties. The American flag is a symbol of global terror, police state and violent and ruthless exploitation - it has brought undeserved disgrace upon the working people of the United States! The gesture made by Maoist comrades is an excellent portrayal of the true sentiment of the American people -against war, against murder and in favour of freedom and democracy.
351, you "maoist comrades" killed more people than anyone else in human history. So if I were you, I'd rather be quiet about "global terror, police state and violent and ruthless exploitation."
If it were a "genuine portrayal of the true sentiment of the American people," American people would portray it themselves without resorting to "maoist comrades'" help. From everything I see around me, tastysalad reflects the true sentiment of the American people.
I'm not a Maoist, I'm a Trotskyist, dear comrade, and we, authentic marxists also suffered under Stalinist and Maoist terror - but that never pushed us to the right wing and back into the hands of capitalism, but even further to our goal - a genuine people's democracy. As for the death toll, its vulgar to count bodies, but for the sake of the argument, Western genocidal waves did kill more than Stalinism and its clones.
Trotsky would've been even worse than Stalin, his "permanent revolution" was the inspiration for Mao's "cultural revolution" (the greatest peacetime upheaval in human history). Stalin was a bastard, but he was right to kill Trotsky.
As for "Western genocidal waves" - that's so ridiculous, it's funny.
From everything I see around me, tastysalad is the one who reflects the true sentiment of the American people, not a tiny group of "maoist comrades."
Under Mao, people going to theater or opera were limited to 9 plays. Everything else was outlawed. Your "maoist comrades" in America are now doing the same to 9/11 commemorations.
As for the sentiment of the American people, anti-war movement and Bush's approval rating speak for themselves. The Maoists were just radical enough to strike straight into the flesh of republican/democrat preps in college - the attempt to cannonize (fetishize) 9/11 victims. 9/11 was a tragedy indeed, but in order to find the guilty, American people should look slightly closer to home...
Your language speaks for itself: "strike into the flesh" - language of a sadist and murderer. And besides looking for the guilty one needs to honor the fallen. But that's beyond your understanding.
Psychologistic interpretation of ones choice of words is excellent as a way of manipulating arguments - but it's simply poor science, you might as well ask to read my palm, lol!You havent refuted my argument with psycho-babble, but merely showed ur poor knowledge of both psychology and notion analysis...As for fetishism of the dead, it is by no means a way of honouring them - its abusing their deaths for campaigning for failed values of a decaying establishment!
LMAO. American people are about to say "Bye-bye" to Bush. Without blowing up churches or collapsing the country into a fratricidal civil war, or politically shitting on everything that's still uncorrupted, or even outlawing saxophones.
Don't give me those fairy tales about the tiny "vanguard of the progressive movement" doing all sorts of crazy awful things "in the name of the people" - we've seen that everywhere from Lenin's Russia to Pol Pot's Cambodia. We know the results.
LOL, you really think that it's about Bush, like that idiot makes any decisions! From Washington to Bush, the ruling elite in the States simply acted as the advocate of money families - or else they wouldn't get all those campaign contributions:)
As for the vanguard of the progressive movement, it is by no means tiny - the vanguard of the progressive movement is not an elite but the bulk of the working class! As for Lenin, comparing him with Pol Pot shows poor knowledge of history...
There's plenty in common between Lenin and Pol Pot. And also Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Kim Il Sung, Honecker, Ceausescu, Hoxha, Castro, Che Guevara, Mengistu, and the rest of the monsters. You Marxists always try to wiggle out of the crimes you commit by exaggerating your doctrinal differences.
Anyway, I think I know who you think rules the world. The Jews. (Or do you say "neo-con Zionist cabal?") Am I right?
The first paragraph is unsubstantiated and will therefore not be commented.
As for who rules the world, I don't care if they're Jewish, Russian, English or Chinese - if they are rich oligarchs they use their financial means to influence governments. It's no conspiracy if, that's what you implied, it's being done quite openly.
Equating Jews with Zionism is anti-semitism, but it's often used by the racist state of Israel to negate existence of domestic dissent against official apartheid.
I was born and spend years of my childhood in Yugoslavia, and I lived to see what the so called "liberal democracy" (an apparent contradiction, liberals cannot be democratic in its fullest form) brought to Yugoslavia and the rest of Eastern Europe. Tell me, was the Tzar good when he sent intellectuals to scorpio pits? Or is Putin's clique right to have a mafia-run country?
A small group utterly destroys 9/11 commemoration held by a much larger group. It is strange that the larger group could not hold its event in peace. Where is the freedom of speech for those wishing to commemorate 9/11? Why did the larger group not push the disrupters off campus, by force if necessary? Why do people accept destruction of their own right to speak and commemorate the name of some fringe group's rights? Why are people so accepting of the violation of their own freedoms?
If i had been there I would have kicked the asses of the dirtbags responsible for protesting the memorial. My friends and brothers are dying to protect our freedom and all you do is live off welfare and off your parents and talk crap to people trying to do the right thing.
Bush himself isn't the issue, imperialism has been around before he came to power! Stepping on the flag symbolized discarding nation (whichever)and all the oppression it brings!
People that support him don't show up to protest Bush because their content and have no reason to complain. And approval rating doesn't matter unless you ask everyone in the country. Remember Kerry he was the next president until content people showed up to vote.
You are a servat of a murdering regime, and any "friend" or "brother" of urs in Iraq deserves death! What freedom are you brainwashed illiterate robo-goons fighting for? Freedom to rob oil and murder Arab people?
THe majority of what? Communists, terrorism supporters, and apologists for radical Islam? Where are your protests when Muslims are killing over cartoons and quotes?
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." John Quincy Adams. It's absolutely shameful that these perps can call themselves Americans. Communism has killed over 110,000,000 people. How is "Bush the greatest Murderer". "Three minutes thought would suffice to find this out; but thought is irksome and three minutes is a long time".
This vacuous, melodramatic fiasco is a pathetic collection of tit-for tat wanton yelps that would have riled up a 5th grade recess or perchance those with even lower IQs and less mental capacities (like Congress) or even the USC football team. @Ben2Helenback My first impression was, is this a memorial or a kindergarten recess?
Unfortunately, this is what most average Americans, yes, especially college students resemble, or have devolved into.

I have no love for the Tsar or for Putin. Perhaps you should live in the United States for 30 years, like I did. Then you might learn something.

Communism is anti-freedom and anti-democracy.

You are not protecting our freedom.
You are part of an illegal, illegitimate war for empire.
And causing death, destruction and suffering to millions of Iraqis.

You, ma'am, are blind.

no thats reality.
Everywhere Bush goes around the world, he is met by an outpouring of thousands!
everybody knows that the majority of people in this country are against Bush and against this war.
Bush has a 28% approval rating. The lowest in history!
Briannathegreat 4 years ago
Protesting Bush is one thing, stepping on the flag and chanting during the moment of silence is pathetic

I would have torn that guy a new asshole if I were there
ElegyOfAutumn 3 years ago 2
the guy stepping on the flag that is
ElegyOfAutumn 3 years ago 2
Bush himself isn't the issue, imperialism has been around before he came to power! Stepping on the flag symbolized discarding nation (whichever)and all the oppression it brings!
3516407 3 years ago
People that support him don't show up to protest Bush because their content and have no reason to complain. And approval rating doesn't matter unless you ask everyone in the country. Remember Kerry he was the next president until content people showed up to vote.

Still higher than the Democrat-controlled Congress at 9%

Typical liberal. You hate American soldiers, but take advantage of all their sacrifices. By the way, how's your friend Jesse Macbeth?

If liberals protestors are so brave, why do they always cover their faces?
StoogeWatcher 4 years ago
They don't want mommy & daddy to see what they are up to and cut the umbilical cord of finanical support.
