They used to spray above airports to reduce fog, too. But don't know if that is still the case.

Drove through some very incredible downpours this weekend going up I-5 in Oregon, then east along the Columbia. I heard there was a tornado somewhere in the coastal area of Oregon, not a normal event for them. When I finally drove out of the rain going east, the wind tried to take me off the road. If it was someone's effort to precipitate more water out of the atmosphere, they succeeded, LOL.

sad thing is , is that this has been going on since the 50's perhaps the 40's.

My father is 61, he says he remembers adults talking about it when he was a kid.

And in Vietnam, they seeded clouds, on the Hochiminh trail to extend the monsoon season to slow down the Vietnamese.

The thing we really need to think about is this. Remember the water cycle chart we all drew in elementary school. How the water evaporates into clouds and falls down in precipitation? We do not gain water, it is the same water cycling over and over... so when there is cloud seeding, whom are we taking water from hmm???
