  • That is not an English accent... more like Scottish, or even New Zealand. I think it sounds even better than an English accent.

  • @hmakanoeich irish

  • So they blame global warming for melting the glaciers when they actually show you a video of the scientists using hot water to MELT THE GLACIERS?!?

  • glay-SEE-er <3

  • Sounds like he is going to say " IN SOVIET RUSSIA" any time.

  • accent = <3

  • im sad that alot of glaciers today and before ore gone ND WHERE ll gonna die when global warning AND flood the world!! :..<

  • scottish burr

  • awesome!

  • i love the way he says Glacier.....lol its awsome!

  • Well gotta give it to the lady. I don't like the cold so I wouldn't be able to do that.

  • hardcore!

  • Is this part of why glaciers are disappearing: carving vent-holes in their bellies with hot water seems counter productive...the retuning ice must have an effect on its structure or salinity, but if they can do that why won't they put slushy machines on top and seed the clouds for snow?

  • I LOOVE ICE :D

  • wonder what it tastes like ;O

  • frozen water probably

  • rinorberisha:

I am afraid Daritto7117 is not exaggerating. See "Retreat of glaciers since 1850" in Wikipedia.

  • glasiear

  • i like his accent. sometimes its good to hear an accent that is quite different from what we hear everyday.

  • Eh.. I've visited Mt. Kilamanjaro in Africa and people who havn't actually seen glaciers (most) wouldn't understand the rate that their melting. These glaciers have been around for hundred of thousands of years and within the last 50 years their melting has increased DRAMATICALLY.

I don't mean to scare you with it :] Im just saying that we should enjoy it while we can because they WILL DISSAPEAR FOR GOOD EVENTUALLY.

Till Then, continue driving SUV's and going to McDonalds!!!

  • Do any of you need to study Scottish linguistics?

  • it is

  • that is so cool how in 3 days the glacier moves totally awesome! i once saw a video on Nova called "Descent into ice" where a research program had a bicycle wheel mounted on a cantilever and they placed it leaning on the roof of the glacier and filmed and when you speed the video up you could see the glacier moving along the bicycle wheel.

  • No More Glaciers on Earth byt 2050!!!

    Enjoy it while we can...

We might be the last generation to see them

  • i didn't know ice can move that fast

  • true, this accent are not hard to understand, no problem for a swed as me :)

  • I CAN'T UNDERSTAND STUPID!

  • LOL LOL LOL FUNNY ACCENT But sheesh living there would be so hard. I mean imagine it... They create a cave, go to sleep, go to work, come back oh gotta do it all over again..

  • I want to see this show.

  • And to imagine, our ancestors sometimes lived in ice caves like that during the last ice age.

  • lol,

what evidence in the world would use to make such a statement? and don't say 1,000,000 B.C.

  • Some of the oldest archaeological sites in N. Amer. are in areas along the edge of the melting glaciers. Modern Inuit build houses from ice and snow for protection from the elements, and the honeycomb of glacial caves would have provided similar shelter from winter winds as well as handy deep freeze for long term food storage. W. Michael & Kathleen Gear, archacologist have written a series of books, "The People Of...", fiction, based on archacological findings. It would make sense.

  • proof hes wrong :)

  • the accent is funnei

  • Earth power of the planet...good documentary. It covers atmospheric science
