This specific piece is "Aquarium", but the lyrics weren't in Saint-Saens' original. They were sung by the boys' choir "Libera" for this trailer.

Of course, the instrument-only original is still excellent!

I've seen this and Slumdog Millionaire, if i was choosing it would be this to win the awards. Slumdog was good and i know why it's so 'powerful' to the ignorant masses that didn't know what India was really like, but Benjamin Button was so much of a more entertaining movie as well as being extremely well made, well acted and had a great screenplay (and digital effects, the list goes on). I'm dissapointed it didn't win anything. What do we know, eh?

slumdog was independant and its multicultural this makes it stand out on its own as a great film, in years to come it will be known as a standout film, nothing will be like it again, but there will be a hundred forrest gump/bengamin button type films, BB will just sink into obscurity, it made no real international impact, slumdog did. its a better movie.

So, really, Forrest Gump is a ripoff of Benjamin Button if anything, because it predates Forrest Gump by quite a number of years. But you know that, right? Because you wouldn't spout uneducated facts, you'd get them straight first...right?

Classicallady, I could not agree with you more. I saw this movie with my girlfriend and was amazed by it. As soon as I heard it was up for 13 (13!) Academy Awards, I thought to myself, "Wow, it's probably going to get a good portion of the big awards (such as Best Actor, Best, Director, Best Picture etc.) Turns out it didn't. TCCoBB deserves so much more than the 3 it received. I do like your theory on Bollywood too. Hollywood IS in the stimulus package after all! (HA . . . ridiculous)
