howdid you train youre parrot?? andhow much time did you spend to it ?? :| youregoodd

  • do pet birds hav a hard time flying cuz i am seein kili lik take off go low and then flaps really hard 2 fly higher

  • @guyacrossthestreet11 No. She's just missing feathers and was previously clipped. Clipping parrots is cruel and leads to problems like this. So as long as the parrot is never clipped in its life, these problems shouldn't exist.

  • I have watched alot of your videos, but never this one. That was so funny at 3:20- 3:30 She obviously loves that puzzle.

  • fucking A man , you did this good.. Im getting a hahns macaw within 4 months i would REALLY love to if you show / explain / tip me how to train my new parrot to do things like this etc.. And i would actually prefer without the click-for-treat tbh but if you cant without that'll do!

    regards from sweden ;D

  • @Nallen026 I'm getting my new Cape Parrot within a week now. I'll be posting all my training progress on my trainedparrot blog. There is a link to it from my channel. If you're subscribed to me, I'll send a message when I get the parrot that the blog has begun.

  • @kiliparrot niiice ill subscribe you then!! ;) better learn me some stuff!! haha

  • cute !

  • I just got my senegal parrot last week and he is 3.5 months old,

He still bite me all morning when I want to touch him also when i want him to go outside his cage , how can i do for it?

  • your video is awesome, as a clicker trainer i am wondering why you use a click and do not treat ? It seems to me that doing so would degrade the meaning of the clicker.

  • Normally that would be the case, however, I have done so much clicker training with my parrot that it has become a secondary reinforcer rather than simply a bridge to primary reinforcement. In fact, since I use a variable ratio of reinforcement schedule, I always use a clicker to mark the event of a well completed trick whether or not I give the actual treat.

  • yo you got to tell me how to do that i got a cockatiels that like to b lazy can you help me with that

  • i like the play dead and the wave so cool

  • very impressive whats that noise that i hear every time a trick is done

  • I hold a clicker concealed in my hand and click every time she does a trick right so that she knows it was done correctly during the time gap between completing the trick and receiving her treat. It's called a bridge because it bridges the time gap. It is essentially a secondary reinforcer that she strives to get by doing tricks.

  • Depends. Usually seeds and stuff from a typical parrot junk food mix. But other times I'll give her nuts, apples. carrots, pasta, oatmeal, popcorn, etc as a treat when available. I do feed her less during meal time so she doesn't get too fat. I weigh her several times a day and have learned to gauge how much food I can give to her. If she ate too much food then she won't train. If she trains too much she won't eat much food so it balances out. Good luck.

  • amazing she's really making progress :)

but what do you give her as treat ? cuz i'm scared my bird will get to fat when i train to much. Do you give her less food then? she's the smartest senegal parrot i've seen so far ;) :p
