Bobby was a great songwriter and a very good singer. Patty Dukes version is better. It just fit her vocally. But I like Bobby's too.

Whenever I need some maple syrple for my morning pamcakes, I jus reach for my portable 8-track player with a Bobby Goldsboro tape in it, head on out to the backyard , press PLAY on these and other BG songs and crank up the volume, and before you know it, the trees spew forth their delectable gooey sticky yummy essense.
