Whitney's version is like being strapped to a patriotic rocket to the stars...it sweeps u up and takes you away with it...its so strataspheric and resonant it changes the feel of the song. Beyonce's is one of the best contenders out there, more lilting and nuanced, not near Whitney's, but it stands alone as a great vocal for her.

It amazes me that when someone compares Beyonce to artists like Rihanna or Taylor Swift it's okay because you know Beyonce can easily outsing them BUT when you put her against legendary contenders like Whitney, Mariah, and Celine it's unfair and you hit below the belt by making comments about their current voices. W H I T N E Y...wins! why...? Whitney's voice has TRUE FEELING in & belting out what she is SINGING! Though Beyonce's voice is good, it lacks the range in tone & the feeling from the GUT that Whitney's PROJECTS!. Our national anthem is hard to sing, but truly I believe Whitney Houston has NEVER been matched . Whitney reigns there!
