Just finished the book, and as an amateur filmer myself, i've been wanting to adapt Catcher since i started reading. but man, this is a pretty damn good eight minutes. acting and direction was pretty cool.

Very impressed. What a great Holden! This is exactly what I imagined him like. I teach high school English as a foreign language and I'd like to use this video in my unit on American literature. I've watched a lot of really silly videos about this book. This is BY FAR the best I've seen.

Best contemporary Holden I've seen so far. I sort of see him with an accent of some sort. Not an east coast one. It's because of the syntax of it. I don't see any contemporary boys with my Holden image, but this boy and film is the best contemporary version of him I've seen so far. Love the atmosphere created as well. Terrific job!

this is really good! but psycho! it made pretty clear that holden is a bit of a freak, and that he can't stop and needs to bring more and more examples to prove his point. sally was perfect, i just thought, that these were the right characteristics to portrait both of them...my friend and me are writing a play right now out of novels and we included the sally and achkley scene although ours will be more of a tragical comedy...really great job!!!!! good movie cutting and quality too!
