@skittlesx753 the current trend with stepdance costuming is ridiculous. Huge wigs, tiaras, hooker makeup, ruffly sequined dresses...I mean, seriously, good grief. If a judge is not going to reward a superior dancer for his or her skill because s/he either can't afford an "in" dress or chooses not to look like a psychotic Barbie, forget the competitions. Or instead of calling them feisanna change it to "Miss Irish Dance". Anyway i'm sure the trend will pass soon. See the likes on 1st comment!

@marszenka I agree, my dance troop no longer does competitions because of the ridiculous costuming and such. What matter's is the dancing, not the costumes. Lots of glitz will not make a person a better dancer.

I would really love to find a copy of this song some how. I did Irish for seven years and I haven't danced in four, but I used to have this song on a CD, I lost it a while ago. If anyone could help me I would almost die of happiness. It's probably my favourite song we ever danced to, except maybe "The Reel" by Secret Garden.

I sang in an arena concert and there was an Irish dancing troupe appearing. The music was great, the dancing was great and the whole thing was spoiled by the really hideous and phoney curley red wigs the lovely young lasses were wearing.

Lord of the dance was Irish step dance (hard shoe) this is mostly irish dancing (soft shoe). My favorite is honestly soft shoe, and these are brilliant :)

Very pretty dancing. I must say I wish my team dances could be that well performed. :) We do ok though, I don't want to sound like we suck or anything, but we do make mistakes and things. :) I must admit though, I haven't seen dresses that short on team dancers since the Pirrie Girls had an inch taken off theirs and the dresses came just below their underwear line. Lolz. That was a couple of years ago and they were all older girls. Hehe. One of them came to dance for us instead :D
