@museman007 i have a a grill for a 94 , after buying the grill 2 months later nephew borrow the car and cease my engine, lucky for his life i already had bought the 97mark viiii. so the 94 or 95 can't remember the year i took some parts and got rid of it. kept the new grill, door handles, mirror etc. had no time to sell on ebay.

well first off, they dont have cobra motors in them, the mark VIII came off the assembly line in 1993 with the dohc 4.6, 3 years before the cobra mustang did, so really, the cobra has a mark VIII motor in it!!! 98 in my opinion is the best year, we have a black on black 98 lsc for sale.3 grand!

I want one of these really bad. My grandpa had one when I was younger and I thought it was the coolest car ever. His suspension went out though, and he traded it for a Sebring :( How common is the issue of the suspension failing?

because they did, thats the reason why ford has a recall on them, defective cruise control deactivation switches, not just the mark VIII's either, tons of fords. ford will fix it for free if your ford is on the list.

MY dad got a letter from Lincoln/Mercury/Ford saying to come to this dealer to get it fixed. My dad quickly got it fixed. :D

I gotton the letter like a monhts ago, i had to wait for the part, finally it arrived, and i had not time, so another 8 months later the for dealer 10 blocks away went out of buisness, so just last week i recieved another one, about the recall, so i better go and take care of it. i notice that the od button on my shifter dont go on any more when pressed, it used too. i hope it wont catch fire. 97 Mark viii lsc

i've always liked Lincolns.I think the Mark VII's were better looking cars compared to the Mark VIII. the Mark VII's also had the "tried and true 5.0L" instead of the small 4.6 litre V8.Not taking anything from the 4.6,they are stout,but the aftermarket still has'nt caught up to them like they did with the fuelie 5.0's.

i dont know anyone but yourself who can say they like the looks of a mark VII over a mark VIII. i think the mark VII looks like a box, the lines are to straight and boxy, the mark VIII is aerodynamic and curvy like a sexy woman, the mark VII looks like a woman body builder, and thats gross!!

Well you really can't compare 80's styling to the 90's, two different kinds of aerodynamics. I really like them both a lot. But if cars didn't get more fluid in the 80's we wouldn't have what we did in the 90's, thats for sure.

Yeah, they're cheap to BUY but wait until you have to repair it... For some stupid reason Ford decided to severely modify most of the car instead of keeping it identical to the Ford Cobra platform, particularly in the exhaust and suspension. It cost me $850 to have the catalytic converters replaced because Ford decided to WELD THEM ONTO THE MANIFOLD instead of bolting them on. Why? But I paid it gladly because I love this car! :)
