I can't believe people are arguing over Triple H's placement in wrestling when you're watching a classic match take place, that was put together by very powerful storyline. Triple H is a wrestling fraud - he has 14 world championships, but most of those reigns came during an era where the WWE had 2 World Titles, after they merged the WCW & WWF Title in 2001? They brought back the big Gold belt and just gave it to Triple H without the WWE having 2 World belts, his # of reigns would be like 5

Watching this, you really realise how brilliant Owen was. I started watching wrestling around about the time Owen died and never really got to appreciate him, then I started watching these old matches and became a massive fan of Bret. But watching this, you realise just how good Owen actually is. His character runs through every single action he does in the ring. I'd be shocked if, were it not for the accident, he didn't become champion and a Hall of Famer. RIP Owen.

He may have more accolades but I have to believe part of that is competing in an era where titles change hands constantly, and part of that is being the boss' son-in-law. Flair is one of my all time favourite wrestlers, so I can hear what you are saying, he probably should be there if I think about the year he had in 1989 and include that.

If I don't include 1989, he might still be there, he had good feuds with Sting, Vader, Savage, etc.

@focusandcreate--Austin was a way better on the mic (a point Bret would also concede). I mean, it`s a tough one, so I basically take three factors: 1)In-ring ability 2)Mic work 3)Impact.

Austin was not a better in ring wrestler than Bret (his prime as a wrestler had passed as his prime as a star ascended). Austin however was way better on the mic, and Austin had the biggest impact on the business since Hulk Hogan, so I stand by my list.
