I know alot of people hated Rob Zombie's Halloween movies. But you know what? Who gives a s#!t? There's no such thing as a bad movie. Just movies you like and movies you don't. Except the Twilight series those are bad movies lol
In the first movie there was this 6 year old boy and his sister. This naked beautiful girl stroking her hair, innocently... and quietly death came out of nowhere. In the modern version there was just a psycho kid taking revenge, it was about making a good slaughter scene, the more the better, as much blood as possible, as gruesome as possible... but... we have to spare the baby child, because... well... it's a taboo to kill babies in a movie.
In the original movie Michael Meyers was transformed in this very night when he killed his sister. It's pretty ingenious imo, because the audience gets no chance to see him as a human, all humanity is stripped from him and you can only fantasies how he was before oct. 31 198*. Unlike in the remake where the wannabe-Michael Meyers shows his affinity to his baby-sister, even after he butchered his stepfather aso. That's the next point...
I watched the original Halloween last sunday for the first time in my life. Today the remake. You could call me a noob. Nevertheless... i say R. Zombie pretty much messed up the whole concept. In his (mis)interpretation Michael isn't the soulless, occult, efficiently killing golem filled with the pure essence of a rage demon. He's just a psychopath, not "the evil" haunting Haddonfield. At the point where he kidnaps his sister it is obvious that there is humanity left in him.
I'm thinking that it would have been more compelling if Michael would have seen visions of his mother trying to make him stop, as opposed to just turning him into Jason Voorhees.

I don't know how people can sit and complain that this isn't like the others. Would it have been any more entertaining if for the 10th time all you see is michael stalk people and kill them and then die in the end? At least with this Rob was being original and put in some supernatural twists that haven't been seen in halloween.
@FEARfilmz I agree, I felt the same way about the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street "remake" as well. While the originals will always hold the top spot in the hearts of horror fans, I personally think it is nice to see new visions come to life.

The Unrated Directors cut version is my favourite Halloween ever!! they are not John carpenter's or whatever, they aren't supposed to be like the original franchise, that's why it's a remake and with the unrated H2 Rob Zombie truly brought us the best, most original and least Cliché ever, its artistic and beautifully tragic. the theatrical version is quite messed up and awful obviously. The Unrated directors cut version is the one to see.
What can I say I like about this remake? Well. I like how tall Michael is, and I like the scene in the club where he throws the whore into the wall and kills the fat guy. I also like when he kills the nurse that was pretty nice. Okay im done now. Totally off track. Really shit film. 3/10. Cant believe I am saying this: id rather watch Justin Bieber in a Twilight movie then sit through Rob Zombies remakes again.

Halloween 3d death of Micheal Myers idea:Micheal Myers is running after her sister.she runs and goes downtown.a big chase scene happens.Micheal's sister breaks in a gun store.micheal breaks in and kills the gun store owner.while hes killing the gun store owner his sister hides behind this secret escape wall. micheal breaks through the wall because he saw her. they run around the little store until his sister grabs an assault rifle gets ammo and then shoots him with all the ammo until he falls.
SPOILER! dont read. so they all think he is dead, but how come when they transported him nobody noticed a van in the middle of the road with a decapitated man??? so the police knew he was transported and nobody asked himself what happened or where the van is???
Plus, this movie was not conceived as a remake, but as an independent sequel, which has nothing to do with the rest of the series. It was said and highly expected, so, what the fuck ?! I sa this movie in the cinema, when I came out from the theater, I was like "this movie is crazy fucked up !" - in a good way. Since then, not a single horror movie impressed me that much. Paranormal Activity, Saw 2 to 7, Hostel, etc : SHIT ! Rob Zombie : awesome ! The Lords of Salem, next Zombie baby :)
I'm quite surprised people so don't like this movie ... I mean, do you realize how many so called horror movies we have each year - the best we had this year was Insidious ... WOW ... This movie has the most unlikable characters of any movie I have ever seen. You just want Laurie to fucking drop dead on the spot so you don't have to hear her constant yammering and ranting.
Seriously, it's not bad camera work or something that kills this movie, it the characters, especially Laurie.
Yes it is. The characters are horrible and there really isn't a way I can stress that enough. They are genuinely horrendously unlikable. You just want them to die so the movie can be about someone else.
Also, the dialogue is awful. I don't know if that's a cause or consequence of the horrible characters but it definitely goes paired with it. It's either complaining, bitching about how the doctor ruins people's lives or Laurie going around ranting and crying to everyone while saying fuck and shit about twice every sentence (and in that really forced, unmeant way). That's 90% of the dialogue in this movie.
It's absolutely horrible, don't waist your time on it.

This is one of those few movies with en ensemble which is truly an all star cast working to the best of their powers namely because actors like this one were not that well known at the time they were working on this film and took advantage of their opportunity at fame. Plus, this movie was not conceived as a remake, but as an independent sequel, which has nothing to do with the rest of the series. It was said and highly expected, so, what the fuck ?! I sa this movie in the cinema, when I came out from the theater, I was like "this movie is crazy fucked up !" - in a good way. Since then, not a single horror movie impressed me that much. Paranormal Activity, Saw 2 to 7, Hostel, etc : SHIT ! Rob Zombie : awesome ! The Lords of Salem, next Zombie baby :)

I'm quite surprised people so don't like this movie ... I mean, do you realize how many so called horror movies we have each year - the best we had this year was Insidious ... WOW ... We have Rob Zombie, the only one who does creepy, gross, and really horrific movies and people say shit about him because he didn't do an exact remake of H2 (which is a shit movie by the way). Zombie did a personal, extremely violent and gloomy movie about family. I was scared, impressed, was even moved. Great film

I like Rob Zombie but this movie is unwatchable.
This movie has the most unlikable characters of any movie I have ever seen. You just want Laurie to fucking drop dead on the spot so you don't have to hear her constant yammering and ranting.
Seriously, it's not bad camera work or something that kills this movie, it the characters, especially Laurie.

Yes it is. The characters are horrible and there really isn't a way I can stress that enough. They are genuinely horrendously unlikable. You just want them to die so the movie can be about someone else.

Also, the dialogue is awful. I don't know if that's a cause or consequence of the horrible characters but it definitely goes paired with it. It's either complaining, bitching about how the doctor ruins people's lives or Laurie going around ranting and crying to everyone while saying fuck and shit about twice every sentence (and in that really forced, unmeant way). That's 90% of the dialogue in this movie.
It's absolutely horrible, don't waist your time on it.
