Recently I had a friend teach me how to pick up stitches to knit sleeves top down. The sweater was an infant sweater whose body did not bind off any stitches to shape the sleeve area. In other words the body had a box look. I picked up the number of stitches that I would have ordinarily ended with had I done the sleeve bottom up. I loved the look and the fact that I would have the sleeves already set in. How can I do this for an adult or older child?

Binding off sleeve every 8 stitches made 4 big jogs. How to join invisibly? After underarm I did neat mattress stitch but I hate how the sleeve looks. I would start over if I knew how to fix this. Can you help?
this lady is obviously a fantastic knitter, however the camera angle is such that the viewer cannot see what is going on. Not as helpful as I would have liked.
I think the video should have been showed more upclose to the fabric to see exactly where you introduced the tapestry needle to join the sweater sleeves.

I agree with autoar2004 because I was very confused on how to sew it together.
