Very nice training video. Communication between handler and helper is very important, nice work. I believe this technique will help me get my k-9 to drive into the bite.
man I want a rottweiler, and yes I know thats not the dog in the video. But rottweilers make great guard dogs and I cant imagine owning one, id be grinning I hope. Id like to teach a dog like that to obviously verbally command it to attack someone not in the sense that I wana attack someone but like you said I want it to be "activated" and be ready in case I cant command it to assist me if something like that ever happened. Im sure I wouldnt need to let it know I need its help but would it help?
Do you even own a dog? Lets hear or see some of your expert dog training. I notice you don't have any dog training videos, any particular reason why? Oh I know, you don't need to prove your talent or expertise to anyone by making videos; or better yet you don't have a "show dog" you have a "street dog." I've heard all these bullshit excuses in the 15 years that I have been training and handling a dog.
Well lets start the handler just standing there saying get him how about WATCH HIM OOOTHAT IS AGOOD BOY GET HIM and then when he bites GOOD BOY now the decoy how about yelling get him off get him off. It was like watching two dead people. If you are on the street is that how you be? If so go back to patrol with out K-9
First off, a "watch" command is just that, it is used to turn on or activate the dog, nothing further. To say it after the dog is engaged is pointless. Appearently your volume is not working because every time the dog is doing what I want specifically driving into the bite I am marking that behavior with a verbal "good" or "good boy."
As far as my decoy I don't want him screaming like an out of control JACK ASS, nor do I want to be screaming alike, not in this exercise. If you think the stress that my decoy is applying both physical and emotional is less stressfull then some hooting and hollering then sir you are a bigger idiot then I thought you were. I hope you can take some criticism as well as I can.
