I don't believe that filmmakers go into these film festivals thinking that they are going to land a million dollars, most are hoping for an opportunity to at least have their film being screened. But with CANNES, SunDance and TIFF they cater now to the BIG studios as like my friend and filmmaking idol stated Lloyd Kaifman they aren't doing what they are suppose to be doing, film festivals were meant for us indie filmmakers, but mainstream Hollywood has taken that away from us to.
