  • awesome video, fills the heart and mind with with wonder-lust.

  • Whooooooooaaaaa

  • u forgot quaoar

  • At .40 pluto looks like a disco ball due to the resolution.

  • How do you pronounce makemake. It's like, makimaki or something.

  • @Antimoniter1993 muh-kay muh-kay

  • @bennihana123 At the top you say you know you're missing Haumea but this video does show Haumea at 1:06 with a group of other dwarf planets. However it is listed as 2003 EL. It probably wasn't named at the time this picture was made. Anyway it looke loke a football. lol

  • @bandet888 looks like a football not looke loke a football. God! I need to proof read my comments more often!

  • actually a celestial body resembling a small planet but lacking certain technical criteria that are required for it to be classed as such and this is about the dwarf planet and its the smallest planet in space

  • You Know Pluto, nix, charon and Hydra The Name is Not That Anymore.Pluto Now 134340,Charon Now 134340 I,Hydra Now 134340 II And Nix 134340 III.

  • What do you make of Makemake?

  • @TheAssViolater12 ??? ...what?

  • Think of all the memorization the kids would have to do if we included all the dwarf planets and TNOs as planets! There would be at least three dozen planets in our system.

  • 2003 el61 is now calle Haumea

  • I can't wait for images of Ceres, and especially Pluto.

  • What if a TNO object was discovered that's bigger than Mercury? That would be interesting. Pluto is in the right class though. It is more like a TNO than the other 8 planets.

  • The music is creepy!

  • VHGFGTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFRD CZTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Pluto has moons.

  • nice name,you skate?

  • Why the heck have these pictures pixelised< (Not even a word LOL)

No offense but the video is a bit of bad quality. Get a new editor or recorder.

    ^

    NO OFFENSE

  • @Venix9999 Most of the actual pictures of these objects are so far away that this is the best quality we have so far. The New Horizons probe is set to pass Pluto in 2014-2015 so we should have some high-quality images then. Sorry :P

  • @bennihana123 Ceres is in the asteroid belt retard

  • @BrodyDawg12 Please read the comments before telling something I already know. Ceres is in that image in the TNO section because it is comparing the sizes of various celestial bodies. I know I should have shooped it but seeing as I was in the 7th grade when I made this I hope you can spare the harsh criticism. Thanks for the input anyways.

  • @bennihana123 Shooped it? Are youa firin ur lazar

  • @BrodyDawg12 Wow you thought you outsmarted a 7th grader! Way to go! Asshole.

  • @BrodyDawg12 Wow you thought you outsmarted a 7th grader! Way to go! Asshole.

  • @BrodyDawg12 Faggot

  • @Venix9999 esti proasta rau fara suparare

  • yeah very much looking forward to see new higher resolution pics from pluto! the first time.

  • Syna exodwarfplanet.

  • Lol santa

  • WOOOAAAA !i!i! <3 MakeMake :o How i love this name~

  • i wanna live in a dwarf planet and make my own civilization there

  • makemake seriously makemake who the hell names these things lmao

  • So it's a dwarf planet. Not a actual planet. Just like that fish isn't actually MEAT. No. It's ''fish''. bullshit.

  • @Glennfalconi Actually there are a few reasons Pluto was "demoted", even ignoring "size" and "elliptical orbit"...

    1) It has more in common with other TNOs than with other 'classes' of planet (gas giants and terrestrials).

    2) If you brought Pluto into the inner solar system, it would form a tail like a comet, which is very un-planet-like!

    3) If Pluto is a planet, how many other TNOs become planets? There are possibly thousands of these objects in the Kuiper Belt - where do you draw the line?

  • This suggests that items in the Asteroid Belt (between Mars & Jupiter) are also Trans-Neptunian Objects? Ceres, Pallas and Vesta are in the Asteroid Belt, much closer than and far away from Neptune! Author needs more research.

  • @maryellencastello Ceres is listed in the Dwarf Planet section but the images in the TNO section included the asteroids with Ceres and the TNO's. Thanks for pointing it out I should have photoshopped it.

  • @bennihana123 Sorry but Makemake is smaller than Ceres. Most of yours doesn't exist.

  • @maryellencastello Trans-Neptunian Objects are objects that orbit further out than Neptune.

  • just a few questions:

    1. Why is eris a huge flaming fireball?

    2.Why is Eris called Niribu?

3.WHO MADE UP THE 2012 FAKE MYTH(apart from the mayans)?

this has been predicted many times and what happened?so shut ur gob

  • FAKE, THE ORDER IS: Ceres, Pluto, MakeMake, Haumia, and Eris

  • pluto kinda looks like a disco ball on this

  • @nickrock6 Best quality I have until the New Horizons probe passes by in 2014

  • wow !!

    way cool :)

  • how come the spacecraft wont go to the other dwarf planets

  • There is a Dwarf Planet named, "Nibiru" it's known as Planet /Doomsday 2012

  • @GranTurismo360 but it doesnt exist

  • @350z350zify It does exist, but it got Blown up by an Asteroid. A rock chunk of Nibiru was floating around space and accidentally entered a Orbit around the Sun that's Intersecting Earth's Orbit, and Somewhere around 2029 or 2036, They will Collide. That is how 99942 Asteroid Apophis is made, A Rock chunk of Planet Nibiru...

  • @GranTurismo360 hmmm, i have heard of apophis, apophis in 2029 has to pass through a tiny loophole in our orbit to have a possible chance of hitting us in 2036 and the chances of it passing through the loophole are 1 in 1100. But WOW, i didnt know that apophis was made from pieces of nibiru.

  • @350z350zify Yeah, that's a shocker. P.S Did you know in Egypt, "Apophis" means "Destroyer"? And I bet now, Asteroid Dactyl and Asteroid Ida have collided by now Since they share the same orbit... =(

  • @GranTurismo360

Well Neptune and Pluto collide orbits every year, and since they have been here for about 5 billion or so years give or take a few, id say not cus they havnt collided yet...but itd be awesome if they did.

  • @350z350zify

if it hits in that tiny loophole it will sandblast the entire west coast...but the chances are very slim but hopefully it doesnt hit.

  • @Recklesssennin dammit, i live right on the west coast haha.

  • Superb, using the Solaris score. More astronomical videos should follow suit!

  • This video gave me goosebumps, especially when you came to Sedna. I've lately had a new fascination for 'TNO's'. Just to think that Sedna is three times as distant from the sun is mind boggling, especially when the size of our own planet is inconceivable. I can't wait until New Horizons gets to Pluto. Expecting disappointment in finding nothing, but I'm still interested in photographs.

  • Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • it is just me or there EARTH next to the dwarf planet

  • Makemake..?

Seriously- Who gets to name planets?

That'd be really interesting to know... The science/astronomy version of This Film Is Not Yet Rated...

(yes I know I'm an idiot)

  • Haumea? the IAU supports 5 :)

  • Please, just leave. No. Bad.

  • I'll take santa! LOL, that was very interesting thanks for posting I didn't even know that these existed, 5 stars

  • @sickayda there always something new bieng created out there

  • I claim Ceres, to terraformed for my tribe

  • lol

  • oh and there is another dwarf planet called xivy it been there forever

  • Do you have a link to info about this? I am interested :)

  • they made a new planet its calles nibiru biotch

  • nibiru doesnt exist, at least not the alien invasion story version.

  • @IrelandRaven it to far out for them to find but it there

  • shit is that t-r-a-n-s n-e-p-t-u-n-i-a-n objects is a flast planet!?!?!

  • T-r-a-n-s N-e-p-t-u-n-i-a-n-s...

    hmmm...

  • Nice choice of music! Love that soundtrack.

Incidentally, makemake is an awesome name :D

  • makemake who makes this shit up

  • Haha I agree. They really could have picked a better name.

  • i wonder if we can live on trans-neptunian planets and dwarf planets.

  • Maybe in hundreds of years, but just getting there would be hard enough. Let alone live on them, the cold would be a major issue. I think Mars is our best bet for a second colonized planet.

  • You cant say it wont be fun though.

  • wow thanks for information

  • Great vid:)

  • &fmt=18

  • Makemake?

  • a God from Easter Islands, large size statutes like stonehenge.. shaped like people.. all facing the same direction.. google it

  • QUaoar has a moon named Weywot

  • haumea is new. and TNU's it TNO's and That 1:13 has some normal asteroids in it.

  • Woah, thanks for letting me know. I changed the title to TNO's... And I'll add some annotations about Haumea and the part with the asteroids in it.

  • Nice video.Now i know more about planets.Thank you

  • Thanks!

  • i say "any planet is a planet" dwarf planet, planet, any planet, all are planets. planets are planets, period.

  • I agree. You're logic is flawless.

  • Than get ready to learn like a million more "Planet" names in school.

  • Interesting.
