Some of your work here is pretty good. But a paperclip and ice cube are way too simplistic to put on a professional demo reel if this IS one. The animation and modeling was pretty good but the compositing needs work. As far as the demo reel is a whole.. I agree with others it is way too long.. 2:30 mins is about the max it should be and even that is a little long.. the break downs were too in depth. The part where you showed yourself modeling a cell phone needs to be cut, not neccesary.
Okay, everything was fine, but try to understand that if the floor is out of focus ( in the picture), a 3d object at the same distance also has to be out of focus...
Your models, lighting, and effects are great. You clearly know what you're doing.
However, your animations: not so great. I'd take out the lamp animations (or fix them. They are not dynamic enough to be eye catching, and your lamp is very off balance).
Do some 360 spin-arounds for your models, add music, and take out the text. It makes your reel seem dull.
Thought most of your work was very good, and I was absolutely amazed at your real-time ambient occlusion! That is probably the most impressive thing in your reel. A few words of advice, take out the weakest animations to shorten it a bit, especially the lamp part which was nowhere near as good as the rest. Also, you probably don't need the text explanations, anyone who knows what they're looking at will get it without the text. Good job with the modeling and rendering, impressive realism!
also one last thing. there is no need to explain your process in your demo reel. chances are if you are showing this to company who knows what they're doing, they won't need the process b/c they'll already know what you're doing. you could also keep a separate demo reel that is longer so if they ask to see more, you can send them that. Overall really nice work, just shorten it and add music.
if i may offer my constructive criticism: I believe you could make this demo reel more enjoyable/less boring to the viewer by shortening it substantially. The average demo needs to run between 30 seconds and 1min 30 seconds or you really run the risk of losing their attention. The viewer remembers the 1st and last thing they see, so begin and end with your best pieces. Adding some sort of music would help too, usually something with no lyrics suits demo reels the best so its not distracting.
very promising development on ur 3D work! i take it this reel is non commersial but a personal work. u cant use that for job application. but it is interesting work.
Have you landed a good job position?

A reel should only be 1-2 min long.
Content is great, but presentation is key.
