It's Allah's destiny, to Allah what he gave and to Allah what He took.

It was 16 months ago when my sister, his husband and their children passed away due to car accident when 2 trucks hit their car from behind and from facing, so their car became under those 2 trucks, they died at moment. I do miss my sister so much and this cute girl who was 22 months in age but she was so clever.

I have to ask something if you don't mind. I heard that if someone has passed away, no one should look at their pictures or videos. They say it torments them because when you look at their pics, u miss them. Is that true? As I am aware, it may not be true. But it does make sense.

Those people depend on a Hadith of Allah's messenger, and unfortunately they explained it by wrong meaning. The word of "Photo or Picture" doesn't mean photography ever because Arabs was meaning the STATUES by this word.

Allah says [...Verily those on whom you call besides Allah, can't create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose...] Quran 22:73. The intended with that who sculptures statues (sculptured on stones or wood etc.) >>>

where they'll come at Judgment Day then Allah will order them to inflate soul(s) in these statues, they'll not be able to do that. But photography is allowed if it was small in size (as pattern on clothes etc.), the proof of that from Hadith narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when Allah's messenger saw big picture on a screen while he's going inside his house,.. At the end of Hadith, >>>

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that "...so I took it and made (cut) it into two pieces (i.e. became small), so he (PBUH) was using it at home (as cushion or pad)." Sahih Muslim.

So, the forbidden is what was sculptured on stones or mud or wood, not the photography.
