I don't like the 4'th game at all. A build cap, no tiberium harvesting, everything shoots with lasers, no base building etc. Some people might say that so what - its the new way but its not the new way, its the way some other stragegy games have allready been so why make the C&C like those? Generically the games should stay the same.

The only good thing they ever put out besides the first red alert and tiberian sun was renegade, cause it was a unique idea to bring RTS to FPS. C&C Sucks my ass now, and so does NFS, and all those other god damn games that are made just for face value. Fuck EA. You want good games? Go to Ubisoft. Conviction is still Splinter Cell but it brings way more to the table for a 3G game from an old series than anything I've ever seen.

Whats up with video games in the RTS section these days? It seems developeres have drastically moved away from Economy/Army type strategies in favor of just.. blowing the hell out of your other guy for fun.

Just from my personal observation, games that throw out the economy in favor of just army building alone, generally get average to poor scores. Look at the stronghold series.. supreme commander series with their now dumb down sup 2 and now cnc 4?

Look at Tiberian Sun it was a perfect game! it had eco defence offence and walls! SWEET WALLS!!!! well heres hoping EA realises something. At one point the developers were in this to make a good game for a buck not a good buck for a game..

@TheOriginalMrGreen yeah, you are right, i playd Red Alert 2 (by westwood) and i realy enjoyd it :) and i was hoping for something awesome in ra3 but noo.. all i got was "cartoonish" shit, sure it had some funny moments and some good maps, but i enjoyd play ra 2 much more :/

and tiberian sun was awesome, i playd it alot ;) i still got it and still playing it ;) brings back memo's.. just hope that if there is ever to be a 5th game in the serie they will make it as the old once ;)

Speak up first of all, and base building was worthless. All everyone did was rush with attack bikes or make tons of tier 1 and 2 units and charge in. Bases were worthless, and in a team game, if you lost a teammates, you lost the whole game.

Nope, it was more strategical, and defense on the bases was strong, and with a pro player could defense against any rush. I missed old school, the right strategy, here, people with higher rank will be a winners!
