used to love street figher 2 in the early 90's.. used to live at the local wog bar..
thanks for this upload it's awsome to see that Streetfighter is still kicking, might have to go down to a acracde when i get a chance and have a looksy.. peace
Man thats awesome.. I would so totally go to local tournaments - at the moment the nearest arcades are a few hundred miles away so I'm kind of screwed. Theres nothing like playing in the flesh as it were.. Melbournites - get ye to Fight Night!
Great video. I'm from the U.S., but I love seeing different communities getting together especially at the arcades. I would definitely like to check this out if I ever visit Australia one day.
I have never seen an arcade with that many AE cabs. I did go to a Time Out though, when I went to was when I visited my family in the Philippines, but all they had unfortunately was a lone T6:BR cab.
Wish Malaysia had this interest in fighting games. Heck the only thing we have thats decent is tekken br and sf4 not ssf4. I would so love to live there thanx for uploading this
Wow, the perks of living in a 1st world country,,,im stuck all the way here in Africa, the only guy in this bloody place interested in fighting games especially street fighter,,, sick n tired of playing against the AI,,its so flipping boring,,FML!!!
he's so right about the brisbane boys. i'm from sydney and i went to SS2k11 and in ssf4 teams we encountered a team from brissy called the 'maties'. i never laughed so much versing these guys, they were making jokes on us, making jokes on themselves and just havin a good time. good games maties - we'll get our revenge soon coz we lost hahaha.
I reckon a terrifying amount of ACL/MLG players are cockheaded, spoiled brats who just sit in their boxes and talk shit over XBL/PSN instead of showing up to LAN events.
I wish the FPS community was more tight-knit and organised more LAN events like the FGC. It's not just a problem in Australia either. I rarely see community-run LANs in America outside MLG events. Maybe if they did that instead of talking rubbish on Twitter (-_-)
I patrol my comments thread like a dictator. All troll comments will be removed and thank you to the people that defend against them. If you want to make sweeping statements and ignorant comments, you should have turned up to Shadowloo Showdown, beat Poongko, and maybe THEN we'll listen to what you have to say. Till then, keep adopting that stay free attitude to life.
@AtgWarHead I as a Halo 2 player kind of agree with you. SSF4 is noob friendly but there is still a fine line between good and bad. People that mash and do unsafe stuff you just need to punish. as for SSF4 not being a hardcore game that's an asinine comment. It has a larger player base then Guilty and BB put together. SSF4 is a hardcore game but If you think its "too easy" then why didn't you go to a tournament and blow up a sponsored player?
@DeAtHAiMeR It will soon enough! Don't worry. All it takes is just a few motivated individuals to get the ball rolling. Perhaps you could organize something!
"They'll take you under their wing and help you out" yea in places like California, but in the east coast if you don't know how to play they'll laugh you out of the arcade before you can even drop your coin in the cabinet
@StreetTrooper Ah, I see. Let's hope that changes. If esports is to make it big, people should help one another. Not offering advice and tutelage is just a sign of insecurity on the community's part imo.

Oh how I wish I was in Melbourne. I tried the Sydney community, but as X said, most are arrogant or unapproachable.
