  • omg baTMan

  • easier to get in a plane...

  • @jclaver Hello welcome to Earth, when did you arrive and from what planet are you from?;)

  • And I thought I looked like a dork at the field! Just kidding of course! Very cool setup man!

  • @jodini5 Dude, when you look up Dork in the dictionary there should be a picture of me in this get up next to it. My wife tells me that the" for better or worse" part of our vows does not cover this.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL But at least we are having fun! Looks like a pretty cool setup!

  • LOL looks like army equipment.

  • Just wondering what the point is of having a joystick ? Would be tough to dumbthumb with that....

    Keep up the good work...

  • @kreepark1 It is just really cool to fly the wing with the Joystick.;)

  • I wear that same exact outfit when I hit the bars. Chicks dig the "Robocop meets Jimmy from South Park" look.

  • @mikeku825 I am a trend set, what can I say?;)

  • very cool. nicely done. great engineering. great job!

  • This got to be the coolest thing in R/C.

  • @infernostr Thanks Bro, you should see my Quadcopter FPV set up, I did a few flights today and I can't stop smiling.

  • Very nice, but where is the plane ? Its better to show in one side the controller and in the other the plane doing the things.

  • How come that patch antenna on ur bum is facing backwards?

  • @jmdejoanelli It is easier to mount it there, I found that the closer it got to the ground the better the reception. That position is the best for the type of flying I do with the system. I fly with my back to the planes general location.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL Ahhh, I see, that make perfect sense then. Very cool stuff.

  • Very nice set up. Have you calculated the range of your video link? Does your heads up include telemetry overlay?

IS this a setup you are planning to market or post a DIY?

    Thanks for posting your video.

  • Very cool setup!

  • I don't see why people want to fly so bad but they don't. My first plane was so small when I brought it to airshows people thought it was a model, lol.. seriously though. But why do all this, is there a fear of flying but still a dream of it?

  • @buzzy1147 LOL

You are thinking about this way too much my friend.

I originally created this as a search and rescue tool. I have been building and flying Radio Controlled aircraft for 30 years and enjoy pushing the limits.

  • @buzzy1147 W....T....F Fear? It's a hobby. Even if people wanted to go flying for real. Do you actually realise the expenses of rent a plane for an hour or so costs more than one decent model aircraft with a transmitter and parts. You also can't just hop into an aircraft and expect to be allowed to go flying without proper training and licencing. Yours truly. Pilot, Aircraft enthusiast, RC flyer.

  • I could see a military commercial like this with the guy in camo. Looks so future.

  • Robocop БЛЕАТЬ!!)))

  • Where have you found that tx tray? diy?

  • @kynaniska83 The Back Pack and Tray are DIY. I made the Tray and frame of the Back Pack with PVC pipe and Coroplast.

    Thanks

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL Ok :) I am building one a bit similar using military equipment belt suspenders for joystick desk (like in "connect a desk" -laptop holder).

  • Respect respect respect respect

  • great job:) respect!!!

  • Looks like a one man band.

  • watz that white box sticking out from the back of ur ass???

  • @choothish It is a 9dbi Patch antenna.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL ummm why dont you sit down your legs must ache after standing with all that stuff

  • @100planeguy The system does not weigh much at all, I designed it to be very light and mobile.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL Now put a BB Gun On it!!!! xD

  • That set up sounds awesome, tell him to put some Expo mix into the pan channel so it is less sensitive around the center of the joy stick movement. This will prevent the pan servo moving alot when giving pitch and roll inputs with the joy stick.

  • My friend has a setup in the back of his SUV where there is a joystick and a throttle, however the joystick alters camera pan, and the throttle does wok. He also hooked his camera receiver to a small tv via a VGA cable and he can use it all from the back of his truck. Very cool, but the joystick not working yet is a disappointment.

  • but receiver, the latest in methane powered radio equipment

  • The funny thing is, those goggles are hardly even noticeable on your face.

  • 9/11 was an RC job.

  • Very cool ! Upload a video feed of the first person view please ! Next, devise a catapult system to allow take off from small area such as suburban yard or rooftop with retrieval using a large net such as that used to capture raptors from the wild and you may just create a mass market for the ultimate video game.

  • @thruid3 Take a look at the up loaded videos on my Channel, I have a few from the plane itself. The system is hand launched, no need for a catapult, as far as landing goes no need for a net at all. The plane weighs about 3 and 1/2 pounds and flys for an hour or so. It is very quiet.

  • man that thing is awsome

  • Great great video man!

Love your carrying setup, wouldn't it be a better idea if you use a tripod and sit in a chair?

And Your next step would be an antenna tracker!

Oh btw, don't care about all the lifeless scumbags here, we all know that they have no life, nor true friends!

  • Nice:)

  • I didn't know Tron Man was a R/C pilot! Neato!

  • вау прикольно ))

  • DUDE that is freaking sick! No life? The reason we have stuff like the iphone is because some people have no life.

  • Wow that's freaking awesome, though it would be even cooler if you had an cockpit to fly it in. Now that would be one heck of a set up.

  • @majch I agree 100%, I am kicking around the idea of making a cockpit out of coroplast that my 11 year old son could sit inside of. I could use a 15 inch LCD TV as the monitor and he would be inclosed in a dark cockpit with the TV as the canopy view to fly with. How cool would that be?:)

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL love the idea........... your taking it like an arcade thing its a lot of work!!!

  • @12ock I thought about making an RC combat system that could operate out of a Van where 2 players could Dog Fight from inside the van using video screens. With the new auto-pilots and flight stabilization I could teach 2 people to fly very quickly. Then set up the aircrafts to fly no lower then 100 and no higher then 350 feet AGL and no further then 2500 feet Line of Sight away. If the aircraft got out of that area the auto-pilot takes over and returns them to the battle zone.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL Will you be My dad?

  • @majch The cockpit has already been done, just type in Project Cyclops RPV. It was my father's. Your setup is less to lug out to the field. Nice job again.

  • @majch Easy-Peasy. Get an old used minivan, hollow out the back, build up a simulated cockpit, black-out the windows and ... VIOLA!

  • Don't pay any attention to the naysayers who are probably only jealous, and wish they could do something this cool. :) Very awesome!

  • ghostbusters!

  • who would ever want to play a video game after having this set up????

    excellent work, looks fun.

  • talk about not having a life

  • @kwikscopeguy LOL

I don't have a life? Thank you for taking the time out of your wonder life to let me know.that.;)

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL Where do I apply to not have a life ? ;) Seriously that's one hell of a toy.

  • @richy69ify LMAO

I keep telling my wife it's a TOOL not a TOY.;)

    Thanks for commenting.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL A tool for what job exactly?

  • @argallaos Search and rescue, aerial videography, inspections, use your imagination.

  • @kwikscopeguy lol "no life" quick scope guy hmmmm.... irony

  • @kwikscopeguy How can you say this is "not having a life" when I am sure he enjoys every minute of what he does? "Having a life" is doing what you love to do most so don't judge this man.

  • @kwikscopeguy I don't care how nerdy this is.. it's freaking awesome! If I had a few extra bucks kicking around, and a kid, I would totally be down to share this hobby with him like this guy does.

  • Next: Recruit people, start and army. Take over.

  • This is hands down *the* nerdiest thing I have seen all day......

    ......I love it! XD

  • Can't you assign functions to the buttons on your stick? it looks like hell trying to find the buttons and switches..

  • @aliander8 Yes I can, at the time I made this video I was still in the testing stage. I can twist the stick to make the camera pan to the right and left.

  • Impressive. Isn't it difficult to fly a plane that fast w/FPV tho? Maybe that is the point/challenge.

  • can you do a review on that equipment please??

  • is all of that equipment heavy on your back??

  • Thank you for sharing! No offense, but kinda wishing you would publicize a bit more. I mean with role models like athletes & poor little rich kids, it's no wonder why kids' culture today is circling the drain. I, for one, enjoy sharing these types of hobbies with my son. BUT the optimist in me says, better that other kids are dumb as rocks: less job competition for my boy :) After all, someone has to bag our groceries... (Oh, it's terrible for me to think that! LOL) Anyway, thanks again!

  • Awesome system. Love it!

  • how much does all that cost??

  • what is the fly range with this radio transmitter? thank you

  • It's worth buying the real thing if you go to this extent

  • @bhp123654 Care to explain that a little more?

  • Have too much money??

  • @GTAjunkee No I wish, I have too much brain power.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL brain power hahahahaha you are ubermansh

  • Windsock?

  • that guys wife must give him hell for all those body accessories

  • Bloody terminator :)

  • this kind off hobby much expensive than golfing ...rich people

  • @nyehnyi Rich? I wish, I build everything myself to keep the costs down. I also got rid of my TV 8 years ago, you would be surprised at how much spare time you have when you don't waste it watch the garbage on American TV.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL How far can you fly the plane before it loses connection and consequently crashes to the ground?

  • @jacob3800 The plane is equipped with a GPS for Return to Home Fail Safe. If the plane looses it's Radio Control link for what ever reason it simply turns itself around and heads back to where it was launched from at a per set altitude (300'). If I loose the video link I can activate the Return to Home function with a switch. The first thing I go on every flight is to get it up to a safe altitude and distance out and test the Return to Home function. It really works awesome.

    Thanks for asking

  • @GlobalAerialMedia How far can it usually go away from you before it requires this Return to Home Fail Safe feature (in other words losing connection to your equipment)?

  • @jacob3800 I don't talk about the range of my systems online, I hope you understand. I follow all the AMA rules regarding FPV flight.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL i agree, v is mostly garbage, appart from documentaries

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL you will live for a long time...I wish I was like you haha...no tv.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL yea no kidding buddy, TV also puts you in a trance like state.

  • You can spend the same amount of money on both hobbies if your willing to shop around. I could put together an FPV bird and ground station for a one time 700$. My roomate spends cash like that on greens fees alone per year. I guess if you inherit clubs and play on free courses you might be able to spend less, but it's really not that pricey. A foamie plane and remote can cost you under 100$ just to fly. The camera gear to do most of what he's doing should run you about 600$.

  • @darkergambit3129 i built sim cockpit for f1/flight simulator. hope to apply this on fpv one day

  • I wish you had some onboard video shown next to the main footage.

    still awesome! :)

  • That called BigBird from black ops.

  • Isn't microwave next to the head is bad for the brain?

  • @sok8888 There are only recievers on my back pack not transmitters so there is no RF radiation at all near my head.

  • Very Cool! I'm glad there are people like you who push the envelope in every way doing cool things like this. I'm just on the verge of making the switch over to total FPV in the Hexakopter. Haven't been able to make myself totally rely on FPV yet though. I am still peeking under the goggles. If you have any advice on making the switch I'm all ears...

  • @assmunch1 Use a spotter who knows how to fly multicopters and buddy box. Fly in an open field that you feel comfortable at and don't worry about crashing it, you can always fix it again.

Do a google search on "Verizon Wireless Copter Test" and tell me what you think of that.

    Best of luck.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL I did do a search on Verizon Wireless Copter Test, and checked out the video. That was very cool. Nice job!

  • Firstly, LOVE your work! - I myself am just getting into FPV - I'm building a quad.-copter. Question about the RC to Joystick controls though - I understand your using a cable between the TX and the joystick - I need to figure out how you did this, as some people say its hard to do, others say link your joystick to your laptop, then your TX to the laptop and calibrate the stick and bingo! - but your not USING a laptop so HOW did you do it? great work!

  • @ANZACRECON Thank you for the kind words. The Joy stick has been modified to put out a PPM signal. It is then simply plugged into the Trainer Plug on the back of the TX.

  • just come across this awesome adaptation of RC.. what is the price-range on stuff needed? i got a camera, so i dont need that atleast.. video-sender, video reciever, and monitor i guess.. whats the range like on these things.. seen some guys flying over clouds etc:-)

  • Superb idea. Well done.

  • Your brains and ass are gonna fry with all those antennae sticking out from your butt and nape...

  • @mmontalbettiv Your concern for my ass is touching but no need for you to loss sleep over it. Those are only receivers on my Back Pack, not transmitters so there is no danger from RF. By the way do you have a wireless modem in your home?

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL

    Glad you'll be ok

Yeah, I got a wireless router... and a cell phone... and a cell phone transmiting tower just a couple of meters from my house...

I am starting to believe that you might be even better than me with all that stuff

    ;=)

  • @mmontalbettiv The Back Pack has only recievers on it, except for the RC transmitter on the belly table.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL

oh, and by the way... I love RC sailplanes... my dream is stuffing my 4 meter wingspan Alpina with an FPV autonomous system and fly the plane as far as I can... maybe someday...

  • I think the people will like to see the plane as it flies or some video of the flight.I did not see any.

  • robocop

  • maybe you should go on dragons den and sell it for the military!! as a portable uav system!!!

  • You have +'s & -'s, but...You are nice guy & we like you for arts of flying, for spreading the idea & for this video. Thanks. Alex.

  • very beautiful work

  • Also forgot to ask, how do you like the joystick as compared to the traditional 2-stick TX?

  • @8180634 I really like the Joystick, it is very easy to fly with.

  • Did you make the suit yourself, or is it an adapted backpack, etc.. ? I dig the functionality. Why the choice of FM radio if you don't mind my asking? The long TX antenna seems like it's at risk.

Instead of the cup holder recommended earlier, I suggest one of those hats that holds 2 soda cans with a tube to your mouth. ;)

  • @8180634 I used a Military Tactical Vest and made a frame that holds the antennas. I have since converted to a 2.4GHz Free Sky RC System. I still like 72MHz for it's range and propagation.

  • this is crazy- im in air force pilot training right now and it's all of our worst nightmare to get an rpa and have to fly like this. i can't believe people actually spend money to fly their own little version of rpa's. pretty cool but i would rather be sitting in the cockpit

  • @jone4631 It's your "Worst Nightmare" to fly FPV? Dude you have to get out more, it is the future.

  • how much this kinda stuff cost? I that is something i would really like to start doing. :-)

  • @dustin3580 FPV is NOT the place to begin RC for newbies. one should not even THINK about flying FPV until one has the experience in RC AND with the plane that will be used for FPV so that flying feels like natural second nature. If that plane does not feel like an extension of YOU then do NOT put cams/etc on it. You will lose it all with nasty quick precision. RC/FPV are earned skills.

  • Lose the chinstrap brah

  • @copperbeech1 It is called "The Brain Girdle" and it needs the chin strap to be stable on my huge Cranium.

    Thank you very much

Is there such a thing as Night Flying Gliders in Low Clouds?

I am Very Curious to see that Perspective, don't we all wish we could fly in them late at night,, must be Beautiful!!

  • Gotta laugh at all the gear you got on cool video Bud.: )

  • Why is you patch pointed backwards?

  • @201wrestler I fly from the goggles so I simply turn around and point the patch at the plane. If the video get weak I turn a little till it clears up.

  • your hand was shaking. i bet it was pretty awesome flying that? and nervous too?

  • @pofrani The cold wind did not help either.;)

  • 2 part question:

Is that a WLAN panel on your butt?

Do you have to fly with the plane behind you for that to work?

  • Is it a goggle that you can actually see the video on camera on plane? real time display as if you are on the plane?

  • Comment removed

  • @delsol7878 that's the idea :)

  • you look rediculous, as does everyone in fpv right now. there is so much do it yourself to this.

  • @spoada Thank you for your insightful comment, in the future I will tailor my systems to be more fashionable. Will that make you happy? ;)

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL imagine in 5-years

  • If they don't ban it in the USA 1st

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL he was probably on the High School computer, cutten and blazing grass, "N.P.Intended! Looking forward to a Full Moon 3:00 AM Cloud flight Next!!

  • Why do you have a patch antenna on your butt?

  • Idea is good, flying is ok, but in this school someone pay you money for lessons?

  • @Olegserov2 The flying is OK? My flying is only OK? LOL;)

    Thanks for watching.

  • I don't care how stupid it looks, this is the most epic thing in the entire world. I need to attach one of these mother fuckers to my plane.

  • LOL that guy looks retarded with all that shit strapped to his head

  • @chatch15117 LOL

I suffer for my art my friend, I suffer for my art.

  • @FPVFLIGHTSCHOOL LOL! It does look pretty ridiculous : ).. But its still cool as shit, and I'd love to have a similar setup.. But I know this stuff aint cheap!!

  • what kind of stick did you use? i think i have the same.

  • Nice setup dude!

What google is these? Looks different from everything I have seen so far.

    Do you have headtracking?

I wounder if it's possible to use headtracking together with joystick, have you done it?

  • Are either of those antennae for a 2.4 mhz TX? or are they both RX ant?

2.4mhz is close to microwave wave length.. but you don't seem to be worried about cancer.

    .

The patch on your butt is optimized in the wrong direction, unless you face away from your model.

    Cool project though.

  • Cool stuff

  • This is great! So much more natural to fly using a joystick and throttle lever than the standard 2 stick rc system.

  • Comment removed

  • is this set up expensive?

  • Cool. . . . but might be a little smoother sitting and not looking up. Just saying. . .

How much $ you have to invest in that system?

  • very cool even better when i realized it was at my field .go selfi

  • Is that Robocop or Terminator?

  • @igo4mako I was going for a Ghost Buster look.;)

  • @GlobalAerialMedia Cool, Very Cool

  • Lol where'd you get those video goggles, the nineteen-eighties? Seriously though, they look pretty huge; did you make your own high def goggles or something? That was always one of my major beefs with fpv is that the commercial goggles are so low res and have small screen sizes, but then I didn't think it would be easy to transmit a high def signal over range easily.

    Seriously though nice looking setup.

  • @BaitCaister You are a joker, anyone can't fly a plane. I have seen many people crash on maiden, first time flyers. Also flying fpv is very different. Learn to think before you speak.....
