  • yep - def not totally live, unless they cant play guitar solos without touching the strings

  • John Lennon isn't dead. He is little island in the middle of the Pacific. Just enjoying life with his friends Elvis Presley, John Kennedy, Abe Lincoln and Michael Jackson. There's also that new habitant: Amy Winehouse.

  • @guiludescher Gross how you put Amy Winehouse ahead of Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix (etc.)

  • @EvilAnticsLive She's just the newest habitant of the island!

  • @guiludescher tha fuck? thats odd

  • Noble Prize for the BEATLES

  • This is the best version because you can hear the backing vocals. Plus the Paul McCartney scream at the beginning is signature. The guitars did look kinda faked. Audiences were less sophisticated then and probably only saw it once on television. Back then you couldn't replay it.

  • I fucking hate all the Music in my generation and I'm 14 but I just love all 60's music -_- Long live The Beatles music !!!

  • What has happened to our generation; we have done nothing to help.. Sorry john.

  • @2sagegirl Sorry 2sagegirl, John Lennon was killed by the political establishment because he became too dangerous for them

Look for the doku US vs John Lennon

  • THESE GUYS WERE SO COOL!!!!

  • YAY!

  • @viceisthename it was john. there's only two guitar parts. I think george is playing the rock shuffle the one that goes: da da-da-da da da

  • @wiisalute You're a pain in the ass man! Just stop putting your stupid comments up here. Because I will delete them anyways.

  • @viceisthename ok im sorry! It's just that this song is so awesome and I am a huge fan of the beatles. Im sorry

  • which part is george playing? I think george is rhythm. hmm I don't understand

  • im 11 and i play all there songs on the drums im really good for my age and there my fav band R.I.P john lennon and george harrison the beatles rock!

  • @viceisthename

i'm sorry if i come off sounding like an asshole but i've been playing guitar for forty years and i don't think there's a Beatle song i don't know how to play. i learned alot from them, i've studied them, hell i'm probably as big a fan as anyone can be. they mean alot to me. thanks for helping out, it's just when i see something new i want to know what it is.

  • @viceisthename

are you sure, if you stop the vid at 3:00 there seems to be something else going on near the bridge PUP. of all the times i've see Paul's Hofner, and it's been alot, this is new to me. thanks for replyin'!

  • @userboy6 That was the first Höfner 500/1 he bought (the one that was stolen) and on that Höfner, the pickups were much closer together up near the neck, so that couldn't have been the pickup. Now I can see the thing what you're seeing, but I don't know that is... :/

  • THE greatest band ever!!! just one question, what the hell does Paul have on his bass? i 've never seen that before.

  • @userboy6 The black thing on his pickups was a plate to hold them in place.

  • 5 stars for this great video.

  • Who's playing' piano?

  • @TeamMastaPr2 Nicky Hopkins

  • @viceisthename Thank you for the info! But, it's the piano overdubbed to the live version or played live?

If it's played live, do you know who's playing piano on the original recording (George Martin or the same guy)?

  • @TeamMastaPr2 The vocals were live but the music was from the album, so it is the same guy that's playing on the album since this is the soundtrack from the album.

  • @viceisthename Why did they overdub all instruments (except for vocals and keyboard) to a live performance?

    (I am asking to much?)

  • @TeamMastaPr2 No, you're not asking too much - I'm happy to aswer questions but I don't have an answer to that question I´m afraid.

  • Johns singing through clenched teeth half the time. The only on who's into it is Paul.....

  • fucking love how he screams in his videos !

  • Love the preformance, proof that the boys can rock a stage, even after a couple years break

and I die everytime 0:06 Paul does his face thing with the noise <3

  • Look how Harrison stares at Faul. He knows it's not the same. He's staring throughout the whole video. Just look!

  • @GameJourney hahahahhahahaha

  • I believe they first showed this video on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Show. They also showed the Hey Jude video there, too.

  • Honour where honour is due... why didn't the director zoom in on NICKY HOPKINS during the piano solo?

  • there is something wrong with some of the video feed, you don't see Paul singing sometimes...

  • I LOVE THE BEATLES!!!!!!!!! I miss John and George. The world is not the same without them. Love this song!

  • The best live band in the world, to bad they never played live after 67.

  • @viceisthename Ya your right 66,

  • @pregnanttigerbaby No, everybody knows Beatles had their last concert in San Francisco, 29 August 1966.

  • @viceisthename my bad, i obviously remembered it wrong...

  • @viceisthename i thought their last concert was the rooftop concert? =P

  • @shakedownstreet48

Don't forget the rooftop concert in 1969

  • "Ringo" fans.... In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.

    Peace,

Vinnie Zummo, former Joe Jackson guitarist

  • Did paul just take off the pick guard or was it like that?

  • @timjob2014 He took it of, it was on earlier.

  • @viceisthename k cool then when i get one ill do the same thing

  • George is playing 'Lucy'. A wine red Gibson Les Paul given to him by Eric Clapton during the making of the White Album.

  • Thats cool i always thought it was an epiphone that he was playing

  • @timjob2014 John was playing an Epiphone, George played a Gibson.

  • o sarry i ment George not John Duh

  • Yep, John is playing his blond Epiphone Casino

  • very nice performance........

  • The music is playback in this one...but the vocals are live.

  • Lennon´s Gibson IS SOOOOOOOOOO COOOOL!

  • It's a Epiphone

  • really? never mind

  • actually it's a gibson

  • where did you hear that?

  • just look "gibson les paul george harrison" on google under the images section, one image should show george playing revolution with the exact same gibson les paul

  • oh sorry! i thought you were talking about george harrison's les paul, never mind, yea ur right, lennon is using a '65 epiphone casino, in "natural" finish

  • They are the coolest group ever

  • gotta love the bulidup from 2:03 - 2:11

  • Amazing vid. Never seen this before. Proof that years after they stopped touring, Beatles could still cook live. Greatest band ever.

  • yah you right!

  • @amb1062 They're not playing any of the instruments live.

  • @1985MANAmericana

Drums are real here. Guitar, bass, and (notably) piano are from the single version.

  • @amb1062 Only the vocals are live here, they are playing to a pre recorded backing track which happens to be the actual recording. Why they did this I have no clue, they could have easily performed this live.
