Hi m8 I have a sprint 2 flux as well i have the stingray body can u actually programme the FLUX MOTIV BRUSHLESS ESC if so how cause i dont see any usb connections.
How can i make my flux go a bit quicker without changing the motor
@callog1 ok thanks for that im having probs with my rear belts always stripping have to cut a hole in the diff casing to let some freeness for the rocks to pass through
yeah i dropped a VXL in my sprint 2 69 with my 11.1v venom lipo,it takes off so fast that i was a 2 yards away gave it throttle an hit a street reflector an flew 20 feet, didnt break anything but i lost my gear again... so if ud like to build your own cars like me! Then buy a vxl an drop it in a 4wd street car with 11.1v. the car i built was lucky in many ways cause the Vxl is a big engine so do your best at making it fit right an make sure u buy a strong pinion an spur gear.
I got a rustler vxl and am thinking about gettin a sprint 2 flux as an elec onroad. Sould i get this will it compete with the vxl and what other good elec onroad choices are there im not looking to spen too much
@gabster118 Personally I woud go for something different. The belts and gears are not made to handle the power of a brushless system. Unless they upgraded the parts I woud get something different or just go with a shaft driven on road.
@callog1 Thanks, i might try a tamiya lancia delta intergrale kit on the rally chassis its a kit which is something im up for and then fit a brushless system in it
@rcdudedrivingrccars Yeah, I wouldn"t agree with that because after a couple of runs, everthing stripped. I replaced everything and the same thing happened. Maybe HPI upgraed since then... but there is too much power for the plastic gears and cheap belt to handle!
Thanks! And the kv number gives you an idea of revolutions your motor will make. Times the kv by the voltage amount of the battery you're using and that will equal your motor's rpms!
what kind of battery was the other guy running in his rustler? Because if you put a 3 cell lipo the rustler will hit 65MPH or better. An since the sprint flux can only take a 7.2 volt lipo its limited
im pos. i ran them both ways parallel and series, parallel for run time when i was just messing around and in series when my buddy was talking trash with his jato. if i still had the truck i would make a vid but i sold all my rc stuff to help pay for my car audio stuff.
Vxl takes 3s lipo max while Sprint with sidewinder/5700kv take 2s combo. If you do math, a lipo ruslter will not STOMP the sprint, in fact its the opposite. 3s (11.1v) on 3500kv gives 38k rpm while 2s (7.4v) on 5700kv give 42k rpm. Rpm wise, sprint tops out the rustler by 4k, not to mention that stock FDR is lower on the sprint. So maxing out the system with right lipos would still give sprint the adv.
@bionicrustler Wow you statement just prove you are a noob to rc. FDR mean final gear ratio, so it factors in pinion, spur, pulley, trans and diff gearing. not to mention, the stock pinion on sprint 2 flux is 23t, just proves your have no idea what you r talking about. Also, FDR is the turns your motor need to do to turn you wheels 1 rev. So lower FDR, means your motor turn less for wheel, meaning higher wheel rpm. Do some research and dont make nonsense comment, then ppl will respect ur input.
The VXL has More Torque but not as much top end as the Flux. The Sprint is also a little lighter than the Rustler. I just sold a Sprint Flux and kept my VXL Slash. The Sprint was nice but go stuck on tiny pebbles and spun out way too easy.
I almost bought the Brushless E-Revo until I got to run one. Much Too Fast for me and that is why I went with the Regular E-Revo. I changed the Spur to a 65 and run Twin Venom 7-Cell 5000's in it and it Hauls Ass just as it is. I measured a Wheelie at 82 feet. I'd like to get to 100
A ramp to jump it...lol!!! It's the same Rustler, we just put a VXL system in it. Oh yeah, where do you find the Garbage Truck songs, that's funny stuff!
I just bought it, so I really don't know. But I have had to tighten the motor screws. Plus it would be hard to say since one is on road and the other is made to jump off road.
How do I set up the hpi out of the box I dnt know how to bind it please help!!!!!

If you want just speed... the 3s lipo. If you want control and plan to bash, I would go with the ni-mh or a 2s lipo.

can i do that ?

thnxz a lot :)

i would'nt wanna drive the sprint 2 has a rally car cause the diff. housing is open to dirt and little stones can jam your car to go.
use a shaft driven with closed diff. housing

how fast is your sprint 2?
89srbin89 2 years ago
Not sure. The VXL set up was clocked at 36mph, so I'm guessing the HPI is 40mph.
callog1 2 years ago
On-Road? Where's the ramp so you can jump it? HA! Kidding. Real fast for a 6-cell.
Is that the same Rustler your son used to race or is it a new VXL?
~Combat Chuck
initialkracing 3 years ago
A ramp to jump it...lol!!! It's the same Rustler, we just put a VXL system in it. Oh yeah, where do you find the Garbage Truck songs, that's funny stuff!

how durable HPI sprint 2 Flux are? are they as durable as rustler VXL, i do have Rustler VXL.
pinoybakulaw 3 years ago
I just bought it, so I really don't know. But I have had to tighten the motor screws. Plus it would be hard to say since one is on road and the other is made to jump off road.
callog1 3 years ago
Are you pulling our leg, 6cell on the hpi? You sure you dont have a lipo under the hood. lol! That is fast.!!!!
Very nice sprint flux.

i wanted to get a HPI E10 and make it brushless
adb140275 3 years ago
Just get the Flux. My friend has one and it is the smoothest stadium truck I've ever run...nice!
callog1 3 years ago
well an E10 w/o electrics is $100. mamba sidewinder is about $100ish on ebay. and the E10 is shaft drive
adb140275 3 years ago
My fault, I was talking about the E-Firestorm Flux. But if you get an on road, get a belt drive, they're so much smoother.
callog1 3 years ago
oh my friend has a lot of troubles melting belts off of his brushless sprint 2 (mamba max 5900)
adb140275 3 years ago
Well I melted the belt and the gears.
