So it has nothing to do with the quality of Nintendo's franchises, they are great games, but not just for my taste...just wanted to give my opinion here, when someone said that this is the year of the Wii....I agree that Wii is getting now much more great games than it did in 2008 and 2009, but still I think 360, PS3 and PC have stornger library of games, if we count all their multiplatform games as well, that are not on Wii or have different (and usually worse) versions.

This is a great video. I don't have a Wii, but i definitely have wanted one for a long time. They did miss some games, like Madworld, and Tenchu, and HOTD Overkill, but I'm assuming its supposed to have mostly newer titles. The Wii seems like a great console though. That's not the best argument to use against the haters. The Wii is the best selling console not because of the unique selection of games that only the PS3 rivals, but because of the demographic- Nintendo's new image caters to older people and those that have never played video games before. A majority of consoles go to retirement homes and people that play Wii Fit once or twice before putting it away or selling it.
That said, lately things are starting to turn around for our little white box o' joy. The Wii is starting to gain more and more reputation with the "core" crowd with each passing release.

@strongo25 The only even remotely intresting games here (if we dont count Nintendo's big franchises) are Red Steel 2 and Monster Hunter tri, but those are not yet worth of bying Wii and there are more games on PC,Xbox360 and PS3 than I have time (or money) to play.
And why should everyone like Mario, Zelda and Metroid?I dont have any connection or intrest to those franchises, when I was a child there wasnt Mario bouncing on my retinas it was Doom, Duke Nukem, Warcraft, Age of Empires etc...

I'm not saying Wii doesnt have any good or even great games, they are simply not for me, I have different taste, than you have.As I said it's suprisingly fun to play Wii Sports with friends sometimes,but that's not a reason for me to buyit, one of my friends has the console already and I like traditional gamepad more than Wii's controller

@strongo25 Well first of all, As I said, I dont like Wii's controller that much, I like to play with traditional gamepad...ofcourse that problem could be solved, since there are those traditional gamepads for Wii too. As for Mario, I've never been huge fan of platformers, Zelda and Metroid are just too different, sometimes there is too much puzzle solving for my taste. I just like more the western style, action packed games, with great HD-graphics, bash me if you will, but that's my opinion.

@strongo25 So the games I like to play most are Shooters, RTS, RPG (mostly western, Lost Odyssey has been the only JRPG I have ever liked), Action-Adventure and Racing/Driving games...with real looking cars, and thanks to Blur, Xbox360/PS3 owners have their very own Mario Kart now....with real cars.
So tell me, what's the point of bying Wii, if I want to play those genres? PC+Xbox360+PS3 more than enough great titles to choose from, so there is absolutely no point for me to buy Wii.

That's not the best argument to use against the haters. The Wii is the best selling console not because of the unique selection of games that only the PS3 rivals, but because of the demographic- Nintendo's new image caters to older people and those that have never played video games before. A majority of consoles go to retirement homes and people that play Wii Fit once or twice before putting it away or selling it.

The most stupid thing I heard in ages. There has been lots of hardware and software companies making great games, and very few of them have something to thank Nintendo. Even further, ever considered why Nintendo had so little support on the N64 times? That was the 3rd parties giving the finger to Yamauchi for fucking them over again and again in the NES and SNES.
