Why does everyone think Warrior Cats have to have all these fancy spots and markings?? Ashfur was just a plain grey cat. And Brambleclaw, Jayfeather, etc. don't have fancy markings of Tabby, either. Not all Warriors are fancily furred, you know. Still, amazing job on the video, love it~

When I read the books I picture thm like normal cats with normal markings.

We animators just like having characters with unique memorable markings.

@CreamyKittin I do too, but I guess I understand what you're saying. Hawkscorcher and Neonfire (My two cats, I'm HS) have fancy-ish markings. Hawkscorcher has orange bubbles all over her, go to my deviantART page to see. Piperwolf201, anyway, I bet it is a pain to animate stripes. You have to constantly have them in the same place while the cat is in a different position. Great job on running Ashfur, it looked amazing.

@CreamyKittin But actually that person is wrong. Last time I checked the character desc, Ashfur was pale gray with darker flecks. .3. And most animators do the same. Like me. I make Darkstripe and Tigerclaw with huge stripes and dots. Great video. .3.

@starclaw34 Just a note on this, sorry to make it, but I do remember at one point Ashfur was described as a grey cat with darker grey flecks, same with Ferncloud. I think it was in the first series.

@starclaw34 Actually, Ashfur did have Gray flecks. And, yeah, people add fancy markings to add their own style to the characters. I can understand a cat's markings being fancy by their rank or traitsor possibly their name - like Jayfeather having swirls for blindness, Lionblaze having flames for his name, and Leaders having stars on them. I think thats all okay, as long as they stick to the basics of the character. but, THIS IS AN AWESOME VIDEO!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

Brambleclaw and Jayfeather are classic tabbies which is a very detailed tabby marking so they simplify that down.
