This was actually the last episode on dutch television. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time and was shocked. I found out that the story continued after this only two years ago.... my childhood was saved :P

This is sure a sad period for the power rangers. First the rangers lost the battle to rito with losses of the Thunderzords. second the rangers were turned to children which the alien rangers come in. Third, rito and goldar blows up the command center.

Despite more violence and blood, Super Sentai Series always end well with Good defeating Evil.

PR was supposed to be accurate for younger children, but it's not accurate to leave children anguished by ending it with Good losing like sissies against Evil.

And it's not appropriate to disgrace the Sentai Series (Zyuranger, Dairanger, Kakuranger...) with such campiness and making a Squadron lose

Oh man. I remember this vividly as a kid. I didn't think that the Power Rangers would ever suffer a defeat like this. And there was no "To Be Continued" or anything to give us any kind of hope.

Thank God it was a much darker ending to what we are used to. It was way more memorable and showed that even the Power Rangers can't win every battle. If Zeo hadn't come along I think many children would have been scarred for life after witnessing this!

The Zeo crystal just gets...dropped? Okay sure.

It was all quite disappointing. At least Zeo was awesome.

@martheev What didn't make sense about the power chambers location is in that at the end of Power Rangers Turbo, They showed the power chamber as being above ground despite the fact that the rangers entered it in the tunnels beneath where the command center had been. When the exterior of the command center reconstructs, i always thought that was where the ceremony chamber was. The ending of Power Rangers Turbo contradicted the beginning of Power Rangers Zeo.

@STEALTH872003 well technically when the Command Center was destroyed, they transported to the hidden chamber where the White Ranger was created, the Power Chamber was rebuilt with the Zeo crystals above ground, when it was all complete they entered a door and their was a blue mist, upon entering the blue mist they were teleported to the newly constructed Power Chamber, and Alpha and Zordon was there to great them.

Damn, Season 2 and 3 were brutal. First, Rito destroys the Thunder Zords. You'd think that's be bad enough but later, in Season 3, the Ninja powers get destroyed, leaving the Rangers as vulnerable as they can be, and then this catastrophe happens.

Billy sorta grew into a Second in Command type figure. As a character, I thought he got a pretty raw deal. He is central to the creation of the Zeo Rangers and their Zords, but can't assume the power himself, cos he tried to save Alpha from the exploding console (negative proton energy, anyone?).

Then, the aging device causes him to grow old at an accelerated rate, forcing him to leave earth entirely. He is the Ranger who has sacrificed the most whilst trying to protect the planet.

Oh WOW! When this originally aired I was filled with good shock and bad shock, I was sorry to see Aisha go yet happy that Tanya wasnt too far from being an Aisha. I was so happy to see my favorite characters return to normal and yet I was left waiting for MONTHS to find out what was going to happen after already having waited for months to see this mini series. And still I grant it a nobel peace prize!

I agree with everything except for Billy. looking back, I dont think David was ever tapped to be the gold ranger, even though we thought he was. Looking back and seeing just how little Billy was featured in Zeo, Its my speculation that David held on to his PR paycheck while auditioning for other roles
