@TheAngelofNight Icarry on i went to a record shop bought Clancy records for my mother and saw a Dubliners one so bought that as well a live recording in the Cecil Sharpe House. My mother wasnt impressed but i was hooked, she loved them later specially Luke though he wasnt in that line up 1963 it was Bobby Lynch, anyway i digress Bobby Lynch and Al O Donnell are the only two ive never seen live and as much love Irish music till these last two months its the first time i heard Al thank you (Tom )
What a concert that would be with Luke up front leading them, though what song would they sing my choice would be Hot Asphalt great chorus for all to join in
The more i listen the more i like it in my mind a cross between Ronnie Drew and Paddt Reilly just like Ciaran Burke a mellow voice he was so underated as well very talented what more can i say the drink ruins us all its so easy

@TheAngelofNight I couldnt agree more both in their own right are good Paddy on his own ok Patsy has been the mainstay of the Dublin City Ramblers for many years a great group that never had the recognition The Dubliners did, I grew up with the Dubliners music but love almost all Irish music. All this is new to me not the music but the computer so not sure if im doing things right.
@biddybonett First of all id like to wish you and everyone a happy and prosperous new year, one thing getting back to the Dubliners as ive only just started on a computer its great to know how many people appreiate them; but one of my comments was flagged as spam mow that i dont understand.I was brought up with Clancy Bros music my mother and family lived and went to school together. The first time i heard Dubliners was by accident i was a young lad working in Edinburgh
