Great Band...The lead singer sounds like Jani Lane from Warrant and they sound a bit like STYX...

Too bad Sheriff didn't last. They're music was really rockin, especially for the period. They definitely had the talent and this album was really good. They just didn't have the single hit that made them "the band". 'When I'm With You' was good but apparently wasn't enough. Curci was an excellent front man and was full of talent.

freddy curci was down on his luck in terms of fronting the right band, as both sheriff and alias disbanded after a single self-titled album. he could have been HUGE if he was the frontman of journey or foreigner, and the best thing about that is that only his range is comparable to either band's best-known frontman... he definitely had a voice all his own

From one of the greatest aor albums ever! What a pity 2 of them splintered off to form Frozen Ghost, recorded songs that were ok but not half as good as they wrote in Sheriff, then to cap it all, fell out with each other and disbanded! On the other side was Alias, but again, nowhere near Sheriff. As for Curci, remarkable voice, but "blew it" by going far too mellow in solo work. I know he tried to get heavy again in Zion, but the songs just weren't there. What a waste!
