the songs were positive, of course. Nothing about "social change" since that is fetish of later times (and I think aside from John's "peace" stuff, they didn't want to change the world, as they said emphatically). Romantic love and all the adolescent feelings associated with it. they wrote the lyrics after the melody was established and never meant anything important -- just good tunes, happy words, excitement, rock-n-roll.
Some people may consider their early recordings trite, but from the first album and all the way through their solo careers, their music was almost always about positive things, love, peace, and social change. For many of us it was the soundtrack of our lives. Sometimes I come back to listen to my memories. It was a wonderful way to grow up.
people who love to hate on the beatles, dont realize the influnce they have on every single artist or band today and in the past that they like.....the beatles started a huge chain of events of music
early this fall i saw a movie about the beatles in school, i was just fooling around and did't pay attention to it til i looked and saw those guys . i was like "their sooo cute! " .and my friends all stared at me, it was humiliating but after that i couldt take my eyes of the screen x'd.. and then at music class we sang, let it be, and then i relished it.. i was veeery dangerously sick , from BEATLEMANIA ! :D!!
1:54 to 2:05 Paul is so right I remember those Saturday lie in's after a week of high school especially during the fall and winter, and i would also listen to the radio. Man teenagers never change 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's 2000's (late 90's early 2000's my teenage years) it's all the same.
im so in love with them!! i dont understand how there are people in this world who dont like them!! how can anyone not absolutely love the beatles?! i cant even pretend to not love them, my heart will explode <3
@MBQuaver58 I don't think that anybody in the world would dare to who bash The Beatles? I think it's a general opinio from classic music scholars to rapers that The Beatles changed popular music forever...
@MBQuaver58 Younger generation never realize that harmony & peace & love was in the Beatles Music. But the younger generation likes Jay Z, & other Rap & Hip-Hop Music, NOT Pop Rock music. I'm a baby boomer so I can relate this decent music.
The way they describe their first album makes it an interesting piece. What they basically are saying, you want to hear the 'club' Beatles, then this is a good album to get. Everyone likes the album that I know and it has worn its age well for one of so long ago.
Ah, yes the beatles first record !!! It was the very first record I ever bought -- I still remember each and every song -- every word of ever song -- I could sing all the harmonys -- a great record !!!

EIII AQUI
Alguém sabe onde eu acho aquela montagem colorida da época do anthology em que ta os Três Beatles vivos e o John.
Eu sei que ela é colorida e é uma das melhores montagens que tem do John velho.
Parece que ele realmente estava naquele momento.
Obrigado

Not to defend his actions which were completely horrible, and cost us one of the greatest musicians of all time, but he loved The Beatles. :p
