I heard lots of people are saying 250r is best starting bike but im sure that would get boring fast because of the power and speed limitations.

Also, i have no previous dirt bike or sport bike experience, but im a fast learner.

I started with a kawasaki zxr 400 at the beginning and if you can handle that after a few years you can think about something else

@Ayotex1337 dont listen to what people say and just go with it. go to a store and sit on different size cc bikes and see what feels comfortable to you the most. a 250 would prob get boring very quickly so i wouldn't prefere it for a starter although you could get if u wanted. me im 16 and am saving up for a 600cc. i road dirtbikes as i was groing up all my life and right now have like a 125 or 150 cc scooter lol.but 600cc i think is good for a starter. just repect the bike and its power.

youre gonna hear lots of opinions. i started on an 03 ninja 250 and loved it. im on an 09 r6 now and i still like my ninja lol. i ride the piss out of my r6, dont get me wrong. but i really think youll do yourself a favor starting out on a ninja 250, youll be a better rider when the time comes to move up. plus i just sold my ninja for exactly what i paid for it, theres always a market for them. but i know i ride much better because i started on my 250. just my opinion, do waht you want

Dude, im pretty much with you, but if there is an unidentyfied Police car, what should happen, do you think they accelerate on 250 and follow you? Maybe at USA but here at Switzerland, they just let you pass, they cant even look at your number if you drivin 200+.
