  • That... Is... So... AWESOME!!

  • "limite de distance".........dommage....

  • loveit

  • They didn't have resin bonded ballast then either!

  • To quote Speedy Gonzales: "I like it !, I like it !, I like it !." Wonderful film, love the style, exciting, exhilarating ! Any chance of adding English subtitles? My last French lesson was 39 years ago and I'm not so good now.

  • It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm running outta gum !

  • Thank you for uploading those three parts of this historic film. Thumbs up!

  • Well done SNCF & France!

  • It's weird to see that type of loco at that speed :))

  • 25 years before the TGV!

    Viva La France!

    Thank you for posting!

  • Ce sont quand même des images impressionnantes et émouvantes...

  • broken at 02.09.2006 from the german Taurus locomotive with 357,0 km/h

  • @BlauerSittich but not with a big difference! France is the best! Always was , an will be!

  • @BlauerSittich 51 Jahre nachher meinst du ??? Prima !

  • @BlauerSittich

26 km/h in 51 years, that is what I call progress!

Those were real men and real machines back then, impressive.

  • @chemiker494 much more speed than 357 km / h at single running lokomotives would not be possible because then the Pressure forces are too large ...only trains (like TGV or ICE) can go faster

  • @BlauerSittich It would have been interesting to have seen the difference in speed had an aerodynamic nose been put on the front! Seems strange post 'streamlining' style to have a powerful 'brick' make the record. Tres bon encore pour La France.

  • @harrisonaard1 yeah but it is more the power as the aerodynamics which decides ^^

  • @chemiker494 actually the current record stands at 574.8 km/h so yes we have come a long way from 331km/h. Current TGV's run as fast as this "real machine" in normal service. In that case you can become a real man just by riding a TGV.

  • GENIALE
