@k0smon I'm a latecomer to your post and theres no chance you will believe me anything, but, I have seen demons, been visited by angels, talked to God tho I was not allowed to remember what he said, seen Jesus a couple times. @OndskapensHersker The old testament DIED with Jesus Christ, he fulfilled the requierments of God(360ish laws) which had to all be obeyed for mankind to have any chance of one day being redeemed by Jesus who had then not yet been born.

I distanced myself from friends with my preaching, I pushed away my girlfriend, and I eventually descended into psychosis. My whole familty believe in Roman Catholosism. I'm an Atheist. I can't get throught to them. They go to say a prayer for thanksgiving and I protest. The youngsters look with questioning eyes. By crossing limitation I meant you know your son is going to kill innocent. In that situation you have to make decision. Stop him by report it to police, that might put him to jail for few years. This fits a definition of "love" and as such it is not incorrect for an Atheist to describe an emotion as love. I don't see where a problem comes in? Perhaps if one suggests there is a universal standard of "love" existing outside the human mind and set forth by a creator, but that isn't a necessary nor evidenced condition.

@OndskapensHersker The old testament DIED with Jesus Christ, he fulfilled the requierments of God(360ish laws) which had to all be obeyed for mankind to have any chance of one day being redeemed by Jesus who had then not yet been born.
The requierments of the law died on the cross, thats when salvation became available to the whole world, not just jews(chosen people of God).

By crossing limitation I meant you know your son is going to kill innocent. In that situation you have to make decision. Stop him by report it to police, that might put him to jail for few years. Did i say torture your kids? No way I said torture them. American kids are the world most spoiled kids, where as Asian kids are most humble and disciplined. Look at the Chinese kids or Indian kids. Disciplining kids is not torturing them. It is all how u see it.

a lot of people don't want to believe in god. they like being in charge of and the center of their universe.
just because you don't want god to exist doesn't mean that is so. closing your eyes on a sunny day doesn't make it nighttime.

Sorry. Atheist's can never prove that God doesn't exist. Not only that, it's NOT worth the risk to me. I don't want my death to be in FEAR that I may end up in Hell. I'd much rather live a decent life (which isn't a bad thing) and believe in my Religion, and KNOW at my deathbed... that I at the very least am not going to Hell... Should I of been wrong and death really is just "lights out", then so be it.
Also, the Universe is designed too perfectly. There must be a designer. Think about it.

@romney27 As humans, atheists have enough evidence, both anecdotal and from personal experience, to justify a belief in a strong feeling of attraction for another human. This fits a definition of "love" and as such it is not incorrect for an Atheist to describe an emotion as love. I don't see where a problem comes in? Perhaps if one suggests there is a universal standard of "love" existing outside the human mind and set forth by a creator, but that isn't a necessary nor evidenced condition.

It says in the bible that you have to love god more than anyone. More than your wife, husband, daughter, son, mother, or father. Am I the only one who finds this disturbing. He seems awfully needy to be the master of the universe.

@rg055 Even if you don't realize it, he is in control of every single aspect of your life. He see's every move you make, every thought you think, and has probably even saved you from death. And he also gives you the chance to be saved from eternal death. I think that reason is more than enough to be deserving of that love.

However, I would be more then happy to believe in your god once again in him if you, or anyone could provide me with some real evidence of his existence. I find it odd that he finds the time to save my life from death, but doesn't have time to save the 15 million children that die from starvation every year.
