Great video. I argue with my dad a lot about homosexuality. He finds it disturbing what they do, and I'm like you shouldn't care what they do in the bedroom, the ones that I've met are lovely people and are extremely talented. People should accept homosexuals for who they are.
Everytime someone ignorant gives you a funny look cuz you are playing a violin, remember that everytime you move the bow you are showing them WHO C A N PLAY A VIOLIN.
Change can happen by talking about these things with our kids at the dinner table. My kids are all for same-sex marriage and all against racism of any kind. Their friendships also include people of various sexual persuasions and they have no patience with intolerance because they take it personally for the sake of their friends.
By the way, I have no idea what your race is, and the question hadn't really occured to me to wonder. I only know you as a person who loves to play violin.
Yeah, it really depends on how you react to subjects like racism and homosexual..ism...is how you are really raised. Well, that can be part of it. I have no problem with people who are a homosexual or a different race.
Great Video! You are exactly right those things shouldn't matter at all but they do to a lot of people but hopefully we will see those changes within our lifetime when they don't matter
don't you dare give apoligies for being a very openminded young lady!!! most people don't speak their minds peachi and you should feel proud that you did. thank you for making this video.. sometimes it only takes one voice to plant the seed for change. you remember that hon!
Let them stare Megan...it doesnt matter. What does matter is that you enjoy what you are doing and get the chance to express yourself musically in the way YOU decide : ) Homosexuality matters even less : )lol
Missy, thanks for being so open. I saw first hand the prejudice you experienced (the stereotype that only whites and asians can play the violin well). They were hard on you. You know I tried to help, but it just made your life tougher. guess that is why you are so accepting toward others. peaches927 gonna like the Evanescence. I love the Bronski Beat and the message. Keep playing and working to be the best.
I totally agree. But, I never heard that African Americans were stereotyped as playing the violin. That's a new one. Geez, what some people don't come up with.
EXCELLENT JOB, GIRLY! I truly hope that in your lifetime, we may go much further in achieving these things, than has happened in mine. Keep trying and reaching out to people in love!

Cats don't have these problems. We don't care what we look like or if any of us are homosexual.
Humans could learn a few things from us.

Yeah, you cats are lucky, you don't have to deal with those problems. I wish I was a cat.

Well, it's actually that African Americans don't play the violin, it's the orientals that aresterotyped that they play the violin.

Ah, that I've heard. Great video. Thanks for posting it.
