  • The tenor is Mack Taunton

  • Who was the tenor here?

  • looks like Elvis on the end...lol love the Cathedrals they were awesome and left a treasure trove of music for us all.

  • I love it. This song was sung at a funeral this week and it brought the house down!!!!

  • That's how you sing that song! ... Tennessee Ernie Ford & Jordanaires do a nice version too..

  • Roger Horne was the tenor.

  • Who's the tenor? That's not Mack or Bobby.

  • Who's on the piano here? Can't tell if that's Roger or somebody else?

  • @thesullivankid2425 Way off. hahaha. It's Lorne Matthews.

  • @thesullivankid2425 This is back in the '70s. Roger would have been too young.

  • Will we get new ties too? As Bill Gaither says, the things of this world shall pass away.

  • Old school Cathedrals. - Wow! Love love love Glen Payne when he gets fired up

  • Wow! Is this the intersection of Southern Gospel and Rock n' Roll? lol. I've watched this about 100 times this week. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • @InspirationsFan The Cats probably did more to mold southern gospel into a mainstream style than any other group. Listen to the Statler Bros. and the Oaks, and you will clearly hear their influence. The Cats never copied anyone. Although they didn't become a household word, they were the group that other groups listened to.

  • Great Line-Up of this Group....and the musicians sound great to....that drummer sure is tearing it up.....

  • Who is the Piano player?

  • @tman8077 Lorne Matthews. IMO one of the best they ever had!!!!

  • A "NEW LIFE", and "A NEW BODY". Now that is something to look forward to. I can't wait to see Jesus, and all the Old time Saints... The ones who labored, and paved a way for this to be possible. The fields are still white, ready for :HARVESTING", we still need people to labor just a little longer. C'MON people, lets do what God would have us to do for "HIS GLORY"... God Bless... JESUS SAVES

  • I really love George Younce, He's the best bass singer ever in my opinion.

  • Another combination that I truly enjoyed

  • what a cool version of this song!

  • who's the baritone here?

  • Roy Tremble.

  • Roy became the tenor when Roger Horne left.

  • I just love George's hair in this video all slicked over.

  • I love how Roger Horne pulls a "Jim Hamill" by singing out "COME ON BOYS LETS SING THIS SONG!" on the turn around to the last chorus. Great tenor singing!

  • That's what made the Cathedrals great, any song they sang became a masterpeice. Thanks for the post!

  • wow man, george and glen were sure gettin down over there haha. amazing song and at a fast and fun tempo. i miss the cathedrals each and everyday.

  • Is that Roy Tremble singing baritone?

  • Yes.

  • oh ok. Good tenor singing.

  • I'd like to know who the tenor was. I doesn't look like Mack Taunton.

  • His name is Roger Horne.
