  • I'm not impressed.

  • Many westerners may not believe this, and i will admit that i am ignorant of how qigong works, but i am interested in learning the art. I have read articles on qigong, and have also attempted to circulate my own chi via the microcosmic orbit but i can only sense the tingling of my chi in my abdomin, and when i try to focus it in another part of the front channel, i cant

  • Ki and Chi are the same thing. But now a days, people dont train like the use to. They only do it where they can trick others. Like for wood > weak wood and pre-cutting it. For concrete > baking it till it's so brittle. the only thing that you can't cheat is Ice. Even metal...you can cheat at that. But I cant really say about these people. Because I wasnt there. But if they are legit. then good for them. :D

  • say what you want, but it doesn't change the fact that shaolin monks use the same thing to lay on spears

  • how does qi work, where does it come from and what is it?

  • @tangypasta someone please answer him?

  • @tichris08 what martial art are you mastering? One is led to believe you're completely full of shit based solely on the fact that you took the time to watch the video ( how much of it, ?? ) and talk shit about it. This is way out of your league of 'karate'.

  • anyone else think the wood blocks split on the grain ?

  • I can paint balsa wood too.... but I don't need to slap it to break it, all I have to do is breath on it.

  • only in mainland china will people believe this shit (don't get me wrong, i'm chinese)

  • @balogh12 I understood there is tendency in some chinese peoples, influenced from the Western way ot thinking to avoid talking about chi, internal alchimistry and others.

But this things exists. Even in western medical universities is studied Acupuncture - which is based on the knowledge ot energetical chanels in the body.

And this video is bases not on Disney movies, but live record from chi-gung competition!

  • @Deepinside999 sorry i must have not made myself clear, i know chi definitely exists, but not to some supernatural extent, it is known many of these shows are just tricks of physics (e.g. smashing a brick placed on someone's stomach) or simply tricks.

  • @balogh12 Best to accept your ancestors' teachings.

  • @balogh12 excuse me, but if your a narrow minded left brained ashamed of their culture chinese individual why are you watching this? qi is the life force, in my personal experience TCM and its tangents have saved me from death and have rebuilt me spiritually. I am not a hippy, nor a wanna be holistic dreamer.....but qi with power of the mind conquers just about any western science period

  • these exercises are spiritual exercises showing mind's prevalence over

    the body.

  • what wood the master used for palming a nail?

  • @MrMinhtien regardless of the wood type, it is not easy, and considers special skill. (not a cork at all:)

  • 5:35 ok, now go back to the kitchen...

  • I've done martial arts for > 10 years. It's super simple to break wood. I'd like to see them break wood against the grain and see how that goes. Or better yet; change the type of wood. Instead of choosing this extremely fragile wood; get something that an untrained 12 year old couldn't break. I'm sorry; but most of this seems like trickery; no different than a magician.

  • @tichris08 - it's a special kind of training. There is other trainings - to heal with Chi-energy, to activate your brain centers and others. If the modern science and education are not aware of this, this do not means that this is imposible or trickery!

  • @Deepinside999 means "that this is impossible or trickery" just becuase "modern" science in't aware of it?haha whoa i think westerners put too much faith in science. there are too many things that ca't be explain by "modern western science that so-called primitive people do and they believe in higher beings. your scientist can never understand they've already limited themselve by denying the spiritual. you can NEVER fully understand your existance, you didn't create yourself.

  • @tichris08 If you're so good how come you're not in these competitions? May be you should give it a try.

  • @tichris08 I think you maybe saw the first 29 seconds of this vid. Braking wood is the easiest thing i saw this guys do.

  • at 2:55 did he pull it out with his eye

  • guy at 2:56 XD omg I actually thought "iron eyeball" was next. And also at the needle through glass part they should've had the blind kung fu master appear to do the feat X_x he would wind up missing and killing the old man judge XD

  • Boss... "Didn't you just drop your hammer? "...don't worry boss. I'll use my forehead."

  • Anybody can learn that nail throwing crap with practice. I can probably do it in like 2 days of practice. Its not an extreme skill.... it is EXPECTED of you to be able to do it if you practice.

  • @IAMNOTAHUMANINC Ok spend as long as you want practicing and post a video. I'll give you $100. I'll wait...

  • @jademinion 100 bucks is not enough for my time sorry.

  • @IAMNOTAHUMANINC Well then, feel free to continue commenting on how easy things are that you do not practice or understand. I'm sure your uninformed opinion is valuable to someone.

  • @jademinion Oh okay, I see what your saying. You are basically saying that that skill is not from hard work, determination, and discipline and practice, but rather from godlike inherited ability or something? You are basically saying you can't do it without practice. Don't devalue human ability like that.

  • @IAMNOTAHUMANINC How can you say i think it comes from godlike ability but I also somehow believe you have to practice to do it?!? That makes no sense. Almost everything takes practice. Some of the things in this video are pretty simple with basic training, but to say anybody can do it in 2 days makes you sound like a uninformed child.

  • @ 02:55 I thought he was going to hammer the nail in using his eyeball :)

  • meh...the chick was the most impressive, it looked like she really got hit hard.

  • i hope to god no one is on the other side of one of those needles lol

  • holy crap

  • Thick boards are easier to break when they're made of communism!

  • Curious. Was this put together as an actual competition, or merely a series of exhibitions? There seem to be too many individual 'events' to reasonably allow them to make for a composite score.

  • Comment removed

  • wow

  • Great site for dating # lushfmlk.info #

  • I was at one of these events and 2 weeks later had surgery as I developed staff infection from one of the wayward needles rebounding off the glass and penetrating my bicept without me ever knowing it even happened........dont they use alcohol on those damn needles? How dare they! I could have died!!!!

  • pure strengh and training

    chi is bull shit

if chi exist why aren't there world champion fighting chinese

  • @113dove

you don't need to be in any competition to prove that you are good

  • @113dove because there are weight classes like heavy weight and so on

besides that real master of qi gong dont use their powers to fight other people for money or fame

  • Comment removed

  • @113dove cuz chi isnt primarily used for fighting.

  • @113dove look up quai wong, took the world title karate championship in the 60s. hes 5 ft 3 and 108 pounds at the time.

  • 3:07 hope he wasn't using his eyes!

  • thisi s a total scam. stage tricks.

  • I actually think the needlethrowing is the most impressive. Being able to do this is a sure sign of ones ability to focus the energy of the movement...Anyone unimpressed should try it at home ;)

  • easy

  • I think chi is just a way to deal with the pain

  • @duppdipp - a kind of brave anti-bayonet jackets :) :P

  • @duppdipp Chi, or qi is the lifeenergy within all living beings. Qi gong is a way to learn to harness and manipulate this energy, as well as maximizing it. When you break a board or something else, you feel no pain because the board snaps upon impact so there is no impact striking you back. It is the same with the nails as long as you actually get them moving into the board. If you dont break the board or move the nail however, you're going to feel pain chi or no chi ;)

  • @duppdipp you've hit the nail on the head,lol

  • @duppdipp negative you can actually make parts harder

  • @duppdipp In fact it is about the power of the mind, it's more to do with our psychic power than just physical and bodily powers, so even if you never practiced Qi Gong before you can still hit a nail with your bare hands without damaging your hands at all, all you need to do is strongly focus into believing than your hand is a solid steel plate, you got to focus and be confident, if you have even a slight doubt, you will pierce ur hand! trust me!

  • @CNFrostXY Yes; that's precicely my point. Granted QiGong may help the mind. But there is a list of people that can do this already with no training. And I will also re-iterate that there are tricks used to make this more physically possible. The alignment of the wood grain with the strike and the choice of wood such as dry pine makes it possible for a 12 year old to strike a half inch wide piece of wood with instructions and no prior training what so ever. Not all woods are strong.

  • try and pause it at 5:30 to took at her facial expression itz halarious

  • I am never messing with an asian.

  • How stupid Americans are that they don't believe dis.

  • Son facinantes

  • Wow....pretty different from the Qi gong I do! XD

  • I love how there CHI is so high it causes interference with the camera multiple times.

  • i have this dvd, its dope

  • All this flesh stuff. Where is the element shifting competition? LoL. Electro-photography would be a good component too.

  • these people are not body builders. its chi not strength lolz

    chi = win

    strength = not chi rofl

  • lol @ 2:43 goes with the music

  • :)))

  • I don't get it. You don't need qi to do any of this shit. Just a strong will.

  • @danbison one could argue that powerful control of the Qi is equal to or at least depends on and contributes to strong personal will power.

  • @unicuber one could also argue that way in favor of the magic leprechaun mind control force.

  • @danbison true. the power of Qi Gong has been demonstrated though. Leprechaun mind control hasn't.

  • @unicuber I hope you don't think this video is a demonstration of Qi Gong. The power of Qi Gong has been demonstrated in the same way a stage magician can demonstrate how he can guess your card. They are both illusion and/or delusion.

  • @danbison could be. I respect your opinion, but gotta disagree myself...there's a difference between a stage magician/entertainer, and a cultural tradition that traces back thousands of years, like this one. You have a point, to believe in the power of Qi does take a certain amount of faith, it's just like a religion in that way...and there's not a whole lot of scientific evidence to back it up. So...I guess what I'm saying is, you and I may just have to agree to disagree.

  • @unicuber Please remember a lot of stage tricks have histories that go back hundreds of even thousands of years, which of course doesn't prove or disprove - same with Qi Gong. It is interesting to note that first you said Qi Gong has been demonstrated, then you said it takes some faith. I disagree with both - Qi Gong has been demonstrated to be false. It takes more than faith to continue to believe in something like that. These are tricks, I can tell you how they are done if you want.

  • ha ha some of the comments from 'meatheads' on these martial arts vidoes are hysterical...ignorance is bliss eh!

  • ha ha some of the comments from 'meatheads' on these martial arts vidoes are hysterical...ignorance is bliss eh!

  • At 5:30 thats gotta break an arm!

  • that part with the nails looked painful to me lol

  • @blearghp lol..

    you have no idea...

  • @blearghp

try to do it with your physics

  • then post your vids and lets see your physics at work

  • why should i? there's plenty of vids in here that basically does the exact same thing. break a thin board in half, bend a 5mm thick metal bar. break wooden poles that u can buy at any conventional store. i'm sure walmart sells all those things. glass panel? looks like those "glass sugar panels". want vids? look it up it is youtube after all. the only thing respectable is the nail thingy.

  • @SuperNinja2000 Didn't you hear about Hiroshima and Nagasaki ?

  • Comment removed

  • At 3:00. call the dentist

  • i can do the last one. its just 5

    mm steel

  • look! masters! magic! haha show for white trash redneck idiots ahaha

  • i teach high level energy cutlvation, these " chi gong masters " are preforming low level stuff. lol they will hurth them selves and others one day.

  • So what can you do ? private message me im interested xD

  • so what is high level?

  • i didnt know you had all the answers

  • Lousy, just tun the wood wih the inner core horizontally see if they can do it

  • ANYONE could not do this kind of stuff its all about who you are how you learn and how well you concerntrate.

its about makeing pain feel like a pleasure :)

  • sad quality; i can't tell whats going on. i mean, i can, but i can't see it well.

  • Chi is basically the results of mental focus (psychology) and hard training. With both of these together, the human body can do amazing things but there is nothing magical about it and nothing that goes beyond the realm of science. I wish people would get over the notion that chi is some sort of magic energy and chi masters can do magical things cause they can not. Hell I can do half the stuff they did on here.

  • I think a could test would be two of them hitting their heads together until one explodes...JJ This is some cool stuff. It inspires me to develop my own potential. I always wanted to see something epic like someone kicking down a living tree.

  • he throws and misses... killing three people standing in a line.

    qigong power!!!!

  • hahahaha....then he didnt miss xD

  • mockingbird83 have a look at "John Chang" on youtube....three scientists check him out.

also what is the name of this documentary???

  • i like wat masterchiefazn said

    mind over body

  • I have this entire movie. It's nice.

  • I'm an advocate of the powers of Qi but... i'd like to see these tests performed under scientific conditions and legitimised by accredited professionals - not communist party hacks. Oh and it'd be nice to see it delivered by a media outlet that isn't pro-government.

  • wow this is some hard-core stuff man!!

when i saw this other video from MyAstroLife: Qi Gong videoles i never would have guessed you could pull nails out of wood with your eyelids..

  • removing nails with your eyelid is just creepy.

  • he used his teeth.

  • Yes there are explainations but through their hard practice they have trianed their own body to withstand such force. Mind over body

  • everything was cool but the one chick who took the stick to the arm. she moved her arm before he hit it

  • woo.. awesome video, whoever captured this is great! raw footage is the best.

  • when that guy hammers the nails into the board with his hand i just imagine how bad that would hurt, I definitely think there is more to it than just physical strength, I would imagine it would be mind over matter.

  • Mind over body, to be precise.

  • Yes i agree about engineer can explain how to do the trick but one thing you should to know is ... they can only explain like " blah blah blah " but they can't do shit...the master in this video they are all have a real skills , And all the skills are coming from harder practice ...

  • You respect the actions of the person doing the tricks yet mock the observation and reaction from an engineer? It took 5 years for me to be able to come up with this blah blah blah conclusion.

  • Take some engineering courses and you can explain every 'trick'.

Pounds per square inch, Friction, Force.

Concrete is very weak in tension.

  • there are still many unexplained occurences in the acts of "qi" energy.

  • I think you are correct. The force to overcome and prevail...that may be "Qi".

  • even so have you ever tried breaking bricks? pounding nails with flesh? or throwing needles through sheets of glass? even if they can be argued away with science these aren't normal things people can do after there first try. we are looking at master who have trained for years to give us these demonstrations. please be more respectful.

  • @captainwillies69 actually science has validated qi, they've found it's motion can be tracked by a heat detector and there is no other explanation for it,

  • @RhadeConstantine

oh my god! can you link me to an article or source?

  • @captainwillies69 sure, check out the true power of shaolin kung fu vid here, its a snippet from a documentary by nat geo.

  • How can I to learn to do this?

    Does have some book?

    Tks!

  • don't do books.... meditate, build up qi knowledge, and familliarity. Basically practice, practice, practice....

  • If Qi makes it into science... it's going to be called subtle energy.

  • couldn't this just be pure strength (muscle), rather then Qi? and what, are they supposed to get all these powers just from meditating every day? where do i learn how to do this man?

  • Meditating and certain exercises.

  • if it was just strength, then these guys would be extremely buff. even then, if you try to slam a nail in with your hand then it might get a nail through it.

it isn't strength. didn't you see the girl who broke that huge board?

  • its not some magical energy either, It is the result of body conditioning, focus, and executing the technique with great speed and precision. You dont have to be that strong to do most of the stuff on here, a lot of it is just physics (ie hitting the board or brick at the weakest point) the other stuff just requires a lot of conditioning and focus.

  • needle thru a pane of glass???

    O_o

what in the fuck is going on!!!

  • Throwing needles through glass...a silly hobby, isn't it?

  • it´s better than throwing bombs over foreign countries for petroleum at least...I guess you agree with that..but if you don´t, don´t bother to answer, i was just watching this video because it caught my atention during a break, so i won´t have time to start a youtube discussion that reports me nothing..i guess that makes you free to say whatever as well...regards

  • I want to see them hammer a nail into wood with the pointed side up. Now that's challenge.

  • ...but the ultimate purpos of Qigong is not "demonstrate" super power... is to learn how to achieve better health, physically and mentally.

  • Qi is not what one thinks. Therefore it can't be part of a scientific world view LOL. Though, I do qi gong.

  • for those who don't believe that qi exists... this video could make them start to change their mind

  • could this be a demonstration of zero point energy that flown from the body?

    amazing things..

  • Those entrenched in the dogma of modern science worship would not say zero point energy manipulation with a human body, is my guess.

I am no scientist, and in fact love science fiction and fantasy as metaphors for spiritiality, so I think it is possible. Much of what Masters do is conditioning and technique, but sometimes you see things that seem to surpass experience and superior discipline. Divine or Hellish, or merely just tacking into the zero point wind when they suspend their disbelief.

  • Nice one sorry mistook you for the guy who searches on Youtube for an hour a day to scream and kick about how much it's fake... =D

  • most of these are physics tricks, and most of them are not remarkable in the slightest. The most impressive ones are the driving nails in with the palms.

  • ... Your wrongly mistaken...

  • "... Your wrongly mistaken..."

that response doesn't make sense, sorry but you're sorely mistaken!

The onus of proof is on YOU my friend, and you're welcome to it!

  • O jeez... Why don't you find something better to do then to impose your opinions on people... Something I practice was insulted and I commented. You have to comment mine simply because you see me as a representative.

I like a debate so be sure to reply... =D

  • "O jeez... Why don't you find something better to do then to impose your opinions on people."

Not imposing anything, just pointing out simple facts.

"Something I practice was insulted and I commented"

Something you practice is fraudulent. You're a victim of delusion and the ideomotor effect. Instead of being insulted, look into escaping your delusion. You'll thank me one day.

"You have to comment mine simply because you see me as a representative"

    Yes, representing delusion I'm afraid.

  • Clearly you are the dumbass here. You have no idea what is or isnt fraudulent. Nice try with the whole big words thing too. Idiot

  • "Clearly you are the dumbass here"

Clearly you're retarded, and have given NO evidence to back your claim...JUST like these idiots.

"You have no idea what is or isnt fraudulent"

You have no idea what is or isn't fantasy and wild conjecture. Wipe the drool from your chin and step into the light... embrace reality, it's your friend!

"Nice try with the whole big words thing too. Idiot"

Nice try with the whole "arguing like a ten year old" thing. Poopy head!

  • i totally agree about the physics tricks, anyone could learn to do this stuff with some hard training. Its just like any other atheletic skill, with hard training the body can do amazing stuff but there is nothing magical about it.

  • Please watch more - talk less.

  • actually i'm not talking at all, i'm typing : P

  • If you start to practice internal martual arts as Xsin I, Bagua or Tai Chu Chuan, could be possible after some time to have personal Chi-experience. This in not question of belief, but special trainings.

  • wow throwing needled through glass, that can come handy

  • I had read about this very competition and really wanted to see it for myself. Thank you very much for posting it.

  • I don't think they hold these kind of competitions anymore in China.

You can tell by the quality of the video that this must've been recorded over 10 years ago.

  • This is going to take another part of my lifetime to study hard qigong.

  • probably 4-10-20 years (depends :)

  • nahh. With My masters style of nei kung it takes a dedicated few months to do these demos.

  • All i have to say is wow, and i wish i can do this!!!
