fsu played a tougher schedule the notre dame that year i dont think fsu can be penalized for a loss to 2nd ranked notre dame by a td in notre dame flordia states only loss that year if notre dame goes undefeated then yes there title the fact there 1 loss was to a lower ranked oppenent that fsu loss even though fsu lost to notre dame then i think fsu deserved the title still would have loved to see a rematch

Serves Notre Dame right to lose that game. After running up the score the year before by going for a fake punt when they were up 50-7 that gave BostonCollege plenty of bulletin board material fornext year.I remember seeing that game as a 9 year old and loving everysecond of it when the drunken Irish I mean the FightingIrish lost that game.That lost pretty much gave Florida State the shot at the NationalChampionship games Nebraska. Goes to show never run of the score because it will haunt you.

If I recall correctly, BC had a 38-17 lead and Notre Dame came back to take the lead 39-38. As you can see BC won the game with a Gordon field goal, final 41-39. Probably one of the most underrated football games of all time!

As BC fan Notre Dame was the rival I loved to hate and had a lot of respect for but them dropping BC from the schedule because they can't beat them is a real pussy move. BC and Miami need to start playing again too

Believe it, since that loss to BC in '93, the Notre Dame football program has been in a freefall. They've had some decent years, but they've yet to fully recover from that devastating upset from the Eagles. And based on the shape the program is in, that isn't going to change anytime soon.

As a BC fan it's great to know that our team was responsible setting the path for our rival to where they're now a mediocre program. One of the best college football games ever! Go Eagles!

Instead of doing the right thing, Florida State backed in.

WVU didn't play anyone...FSU beat the Gators at the Swamp, and they beat Miami...Charlie Ward didn't see the receiver in the endzone...that is why they couldn't score at the end of the game..We beat the Gators, and the Gators beat WVU 48-7 in the Sugar Bowl
