hey mate, ive seen a few of your vids and they look great. ive got a gq lwb 4.2 and its slow as a wet week. I want to run teh 35s but dont think it would move... where did you get the after market turbo and how much was it? cheers

nothing comes close to the 4.2D Nissan Patrol Y60! KING OFF ROADER! i have 4 of them one AT, one SWB one SGL-D and a 2006 y61 all with the legendary td42

are hiluxes good for 4wd??

@samartz hey mate, yeah hiluxs are very good machines, they tend to hold their value as well, for the basic 4wd drive outings make sure you have decent mud terrain tires and a securely mounted front and rear recovery hook or pintol or similar. dont use the factory tow hooks on vehicles as these are generally made for road towing and wont handle the stress of a snatch recovery. make sure you also have a rated snatch strap for the recoveries. try to avoid 4x4ing by yourself, maybe join a club.

yeah not too bad aye, am a member of the east coast 4x4 club in gisborne. easy to mod these trucks and they are as tough as you can get really. i will be uploading some footage i got last weekend in the next day or 2 and that has some tough safaris on it so keep an eye out.

its a mistsi turbo td05h i think they came out on evo's. goes well, only running 12 psi, thats about as much as the standard injector pump can handle.

Looks like fun. I like that bright green strap. :) I wonder how well the color holds up, straps seem to fade out after the first wash.

its an 1988 the first of the gq's yeah i turboed it just sorting an intercooler at the moment. runs so much better they chould have been turboed from the factory!!

nice video!! nice patrol. I have a Pathfinder with front axel of Patrol and 35" BF and moves very well,If I had the engine 4.2 Td !!!! Driming is free. Fabolous engine. The GR with the 4.2 engine has not been sold ever in spain. Nissan not marketed in this version. Greetings ...

hey mate cheers, yeah im looking at turboing towards the end of the month, got a run this weekend up through some rivers and forestry, been showers all week here so be some wet action!! see if i can get some good footage, usually its the old man with the camera and usually ends up filming his feet or the back of the lens cap!!
