Clark was awesome I agree. Everything I looked for in a player but to say we won't ever see the likes of him again is absurd.
There aren't hundreds of his like don't get me wrong but here are some examples of guys who play the same way...Shanahan, Guerin and Iginla.
All 3 of those guys play their guts out and have had the same results, goals, points, hits and the fight card toback it up.

Proberts was one of the cheapest and dirtiest fighters ever. Even in this fight, you can see him trying to get his jersey off... Wendel never did shit like that. But you do need every advantage you can, and Wendel was always the first to punch... he would make sure they were willing to fight, and didn't care if they dropped their gloves or not. Suck it up, bitch. You should also know he wasn't an instigator either.

Clark was smart, not to let Probert get his jersey off(which he ALWAYS did) so he'd have a full range of motion. If Probert fought in the days of tie down straps, you'd see a much less successful fighter, albeit he was most likely the best to ever drop the gloves.

Clark was a captain, a leader, a reliable scorer(46 goals one year) and would drop the gloves verse any enforcer.
He wasn't supposed to be an enforcer, that's basically all probie was good for, although he did have a couple good seasons.

laraque didn't play in the era of tiny pads and relatively bad goalies(Of course not bad, but now they are monsters inside the crease, no doubt).
Don't get fooled, Probert was an extroadinary fighter, and not much more, although he did chip in the odd goal here and there, and actually had pretty good stats for an enforcer, don't forget Laraque is mostly a fourth liner, considering how little enforcers are used nowadays(unfortunately). Laraque did record a hat trick though! Probert>Laraque.

His presence on the ice was enough. On power plays he was unmoveable in front of the net. Don't forget, with all the penalty minutes and suspensions he never played a full season. He was banned from the US for a while, yet he lasted longer than all other enforcers combined. During his days with Chicago he just seemed to loose interest.

Hey PSonak, I watched the video a little closer this time and i would like to revise my statement.Just before Wendel dropped his gloves Probert smacked Clark in the head with the blade of his stick. As soon as the stick made contact, that was Bobs invitation to dance.Being a heavy weight Probert knew what was coming. When you purposely get sticked in the face the rules of engagement go out the window. Probert did get one glove off so he was ready but likeI said he was just to slow.
