@DragonSpawn777 That's cool, and I am sure you understand that if all religious people were like you, it would be VERY difficult for Atheists to find fault with how religion affects people. You forgot the number one goal of these people beside their stupidity, they're trying to attract a large audience to make money, to sell bibles, books and crosses, I don't know if they believe in what they say.
7:46 Kirk said an entire generation is being brainwashed into believing atheistic evolution without hearing the religious side of the argument. That's a pretty ballsy claim. Every day in America you can hear people talk about God working in their lives. It's perfectly acceptable for people to brag about their religion. It is socially UNACCEPTABLE to brag about one's own atheism. I know people get to hear the religious views on creation more than the atheistic views on evolution.
as a christian, i must say.... that this douche-bag is a total douche-bag... i really don't mind rules..... but this guy... is just trying to make money from God's name, imo.....people can carry and open bibles.... as long as its not during a class....
i believe that all of the religions should be taught in schools to promote tolerance, if nothing else. knowledge is power, there is never too much knowledge
"can't take bible to school." Yep, that's BS. Several years ago my daughter's math teacher threatened to confiscate the tarot cards that were sitting on her stack of books and wearing a pentagram. Several Christian students who DO understand religious freedom said if they could wear crosses and carry bibles, she should have the same rights. My daughter learned an important lesson about Christians who're total jerks versus Christians who believe in freedom for any or no religion.

Imagine spending eternity in hell with these condemned mouth-breathers. Cussin', belching beer gas in your face and doing real nice things to you (from behind) - for all eternity.
How fortunate that the YouTube "Awakening" of C0ct0pup and our "getting smarter" and casting off of God's repressive chains of bondage are all happening at the same time in history!
I think all you "enlightened" dipwads who still have a job this Christmas should drag your sorry butts into work on December 25th.
If you think that Christianity is about following rules, then you've been lied to. Yes, it might have come from someone who professes to be a Christian. Or it might have come from another atheist as you guys LOVE to propagate that lie. Fortunately for the poor misled Christian, God's grace is sufficient to cover bad theology. (IOW, they may believe that Xtianity is about following rules, but if they are saved, then they are saved, regardless of what erroneous ideas they may have.)
Jesus says to cut off your hand or gouge out your eye if either would allow you to sin and in the same passage proposes the idea of thoughtcrime (Matthew 5:27-30). Sorry, but not about following rules? And then there's that bit in James 2 about faith without deeds being useless...verses 14 to 24, I do believe.
...Or it might have come from the damn bible and you don't know what you're talking about. And no, god's grace ISN'T sufficient, you must at least make an attempt to live as the lord commands and have FAITH in him. Faith alone requires constant self-regulation of the mind, so it's an action. Otherwise, what's the point of being a christian at all if you're already off the hook? Is Ted Bundy saved? If not, then tell us why. The damn bible is very much about rules, have you read Deuteronomy?
8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift— 9 not from works, so that no one can boast.
Salvation comes regardless of one's works. Once one is saved, then one is compelled by the Holy Spirit to do good works, not as a requisite for salvation, but as a natural product of your salvation.
I had another comment that explained this a bit differently, but it got lost somewhere in cyberspace.
Well if being saved means you're going to do good works, and good works are a part of being saved, then good works are required to be saved. Just because A is part of B doesn't mean B can't be part of A. Every faith is about works, because works are what make one faithful. You can argue that it's the other way around also, but whatever.
No, you are saved regardless. You will be saved even if you never perform a good work, such as the thief next to Jesus on the cross.
I used compelled, when maybe I should have used inspired. You want to do good things because of the love given to you by the Holy Spirit. It wells up within you and you want to share it with others.
You're just reaffirming that faith includes doing good works and that doing good works is a part of faith. Evidently you aren't saved regardless because there IS no "regardless". If faith means you will want to and indeed will do acts of good, then you can't be faithful without doing acts of good. Apparently it can't be faith without doing good, so there is no such thing as being saved through faith without doing the good acts. It's a part of faith, and therefore a part of salvation.
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Do you want to talk about rules, or do you want to talk about good deeds? They are not the same thing. You are saved by GRACE through faith, FOR good works. Read the Bible in context, instead of just quote-mining.
lead a life in which you do neither harm nor evil to other people, but refuse to believe the Christian fairy tale... you are deserving of hell.
lead a life in which you do evil to others, and then ask forgiveness from god... you deserve to go to heaven
Hitler can go to your god's heaven, but a Muslim mother who steals bread for her starving child deserves to go to hell for all eternity according to your god
I'm pretty sure there's a way to opt-out of swearing on a bible. Of course, I'll happily swear on a stack of bibles, since it's ultimately just a meaningless gesture involving a bunch of dead trees...
Now now, a guy just got in shit for making implications like that about the president. Subtlety, man, you need to learn to be more subtle with your wording :)

I can tell by your usage of the word "f***in" that you are someone we can all count on for an intellectual input when discussing how the very nature of concious reality manifested.
Expletives are our quite mild secular equvalent to the Christian »go to hell«.
In fact, »go to hell« is a much more offensive insult, and it's a threat. The Christian pet deity wants us nonbelievers to suffer for eternity, and the Christian fundies are fine with it.
Nothing in George Carlin's »list of words you can't say on TV« is even close to »go to hell«.

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart."
That's it! You've solved the mystery! Of course that's how it is silly, why do you think Kirk Cameron said you needed to "circumnavigate the intellect"? XD Awesome vids man, I can't get enough of it. Another 5-star! Stay profoundly awesome :)
devious man. christians are reworking their beliefs to coincide with new found FACTS in order to further push GOD on US. quite pathetic actually. good vid coctopus.
Oh, he's the one who did the voodoo "prayer" cultist shit, right? I haven't actually checked, but I totally stole his Channel Description and changed/added some of the words :D
lol, what dumbass. I'll give him a lil credit he does seem to be smarter then Ann Coulter. Although he does make me want to make a cross out of a bag, fill it with shit and light it on his front porch. Im willing to bet he puts it out and takes it inside with him lol
Allah is not a different god. It is the Arab word for God. The same God the Jews and Christians believe in. They just think he wants different things.
it's such a false dichotomy- religion OR science & evolution. and I love how Cameron claims that it's science does that does the brainwashing, ha! the reason you see an increase in people who self identify as atheists in the "college age" group is that they are no longer being brainwashed by their parents, and they can think for themselves
C0ct0pusPrime I have to say your right in this video with some good points.Americans should have the right to choose what they believe.I wish that you would put some of your skills into exposing the Elite liberals scheme and how they plan to enslave the common American citizen. You might even out do Beck(haha)."the enemy of your enemy is your friend"
And another thing, if Kirk's right and there's sooooo many scientific people who think evolution is a "fairy tale", why do they have an actor as their spokesperson? Where the fuck are all these scientists? If you're right, BRING EM ON! Oh, that's right, they're not there so you have to use an actor with charm who can lie and play a part for a living to convey your false message. If it was a scientific belief, it wouldn't need to be sold to us like this by an actor.
They need to have a Wiki article titled "Direct Lie", with the article just being Kirk Cameron's face. The Constitutional rights are given to man by man, we ARE allowed to pray in public (even though the BIBLE says NOT to do that), the 10 commandments ARE displayed in public in many places, especially in the Southern States, hell just everything he says is a direct lie. Fuckin people don't even know what the Constitution or the Declaration say, yet they go around quoting it, fuckin liars.
Kids HAVE been suspended for reading their Bibles at lunch. Hey! You should educate those stupid educators on the Constitution!
But separation of church and state? So let's crack down on government & post office for issuing those Islamic Eid stamps, because (heh!) why abandon establishment clause convictions for the sake of appeasement?
Instead of swearing on the Bible in court, folks should swear upon something they TRULY value. Like the deed to the house.
"God-given liberties" is simply an attempt of high jacking the founding fathers of the US over to the Christian right... it's not a complicated concept... it's just obviously totally fucking wrong.
The bible has been taken out of the courts here in Michigan, and they dropped the "so help me god" when being sworn in as well. I was so happy to see that happen here.
strangely enough, the comment that I left on the original Bullshit video asking whether or not the demonstrably false lies that Kirk and Ray propose to add to their printing of Origin of Species count as a breach of the Commandment not to bear false witness didn't get approved. I guess lying for Jesus doesn't make it a sin!
The stuff he said about the Gideons is bullshit. My father (the bastard) was (maybe still is) a chaplain in the Gideons International, and he has gone to some public schools to hand out bibles. It's hard to get to do, but the fact is, some schools allow it, and this happens under certain circumstances (i.e., not in classrooms, not during school hours, etc.).Hell, the Gideons come at least once a semester to hand out bibles on my state university campus (on street corners away from buildings).
My sisters love the fact that i'm going to burn forever. :( makes me sad or they might not be relly thinking about what forever relly is i'm scare. lol Shit if i die and meet a tyrant threating me with being torture forever i will tell him suck this nuts. Then i will burn forever but i will try to get back at that fatherfucker and kill the mothatruker like god of war. I will be the new god of war son yea boy. If only fantasies were true:D
kirk cameron was, what, on a lame tv show called growing pains??? this guy is one of those that complain about political correctness when his show was the epitome of political correctness.
so explain to me how church and state can be separated as they work together,politics/government being the side that creates problems which is whatever forms of human suffering and church using these problems to take the money from gullable society making them think they are going to spend it on the problem and getting them to believe theyre going to heaven.
Good video, but I don't approve of the gay bashing in the description. Calling someone homosexual is not a way to insult them unless you don't like homosexuals. Three stars.
i don't know if you've watched too many of my videos...i think you should watch my 'fuck fox 54' if you want a taste of my hatred for bigotry against homosexuals...my description was simply the best play on words i could come up with.
I've seen a bunch of those. They're why I'm a big fan of yours and why I was surprised to see what was written in the description. From a literary standpoint, I can see why it made sense to put it there, but a little more thought should have been put into it.
well, just to be clear, i get hit on by just as many gay guys as i do straight chicks, and i don't mind one bit...i think most would understand that it was meant as an insult to ray and kirk, not to gay men.
never the less, i understand where you're coming from...just know that it wasn't meant to be 'gay bashing' in any way.
Hey the gOd(GODS)yOu refering to are the SAME guys whO started the CHURCHES (ILLUMINATI and ... COMP.!) ,THEY were the same PAGANS that killed humans fOr Offerings,(later became THEIR Christianity!!!)
Christ has nOthing tO dO with THEM :)
Bible changed after NICEA.
sometimes it lOOks like they spring frOm NOT the same COMP (AND THEY ACTUALLY WORKING TOGETHER TO CONQUER AND DIVIDE?:))
Atheists FTW!!! We will take over just like they fear, stupid religious morons, when people force something on you or say you are a bad person because you disagree with their dogma they are actually the ones fucking around with liberty and freedom, I cant believe Comfort and Cameron fucktards.
Wait a sec, you HAVE to put your hand on a Bible to be sworn in in a US courtroom? I know in Canada you can affirm the oath or be sworn in on a holy book of your choice...
The Constitution does not give us our rights. It sets up a system of protection for them. Therefore it's problematic to say rights are "man given." I believe the Constitution's framers believed more in a concept of natural rights.
So, then, if the Constitution isn't there, how do you have rights? What's stopping someone from saying you don't have them?
Rights are protected and granted by law. If there is no law saying "you have X right" then someone can just come along and say "you don't have X right" and be fully correct in saying so.
Interesting point. Innately, I believe the concept of rights must have arisen as some sort of social contract, which is more in keeping with what you are saying. To play devil's advocate, I could ask whether people in the Khmer Rouge had no rights (since the govt. didn't give them any) or whether in fact their natural rights were being denied by the government.
Try not to think of the Constitution so much as GIVING us rights as RESTRICTING abuses by government. This makes the case for why a government should NOT be centralized. If the government is decentralized, distributed power can easier keep a check on abuses made by politicians. After all, who will respect our laws if government doesn't?
These rights we DESERVE to have, & since they're hardly given by a totalitarian (efficient) state, we must be stewards of our own rights and SEIZE our rights!
The duty of government is to keep society running well, and it is better for the interests of the government to grant these rights and enforce them as the people will then be assured that the government cannot abuse them. However, if the people were taught well enough about fear and thoughtcrime a la 1984, they could easily lose a sense of those rights for their own security. The people in Oceania did not have rights because the Party did not give them rights.
But that's the thing. Our government was not MEANT to GIVE us rights. They were ours by birthright! They belong to us from the very ground up, and if the government thinks they even BEGIN to deserve to take away our rights, we are ENTITLED to take them back! To KEEP those rights! To OWN them!
Only the most massive PUSSIES believe the government should be our MOMMY!
Shit. Did I just define socialists as massive pussies? Oh dear! I didn't mean to be RIGHT!
Can you prove that these rights are "ours by birthright" as you claim them to be?
Furthermore, where did I claim that the government should act like a parent? Or are you just trying to construct a pathetic strawman in an attempt to hide behind your total lack of evidence to support the claim you are hanging your entire argument on?
Evidence for rhetoric. Good God! Why don't you say "Prove that it's wrong to steal"
Because we have basic rights to ourselves, and to our belongings, and to our own futures. And no other human, whether perceived to be a magically enlightened elite by mere virtue of majority vote, or by self serving justification such as "I was desperate" deserves to take those away.
And where did you claim government should be a parent? If your socialist, you don't have to. That's a socialist belief by default.
I could very well and validly say that, but I'll twist it: What is it that makes killing a human automatically wrong?
And you do not prove that these rights are "basic" nor that we are entitled to them. Can you prove this entitlement? Why are we entitled to these rights? Why can no one take them away?
Can you prove that this is a "socialist" belief by default? I think you may be hastily generalizing here, but I have little idea as to what exactly you define as socialist.
What the hell are you trying to "prove" exactly? The moral relativism of slavery? Or genocide? Or tyranny? You want PROOF that those things are wrong? Do you believe you are an alien? Nanoo, nanoo?
I think the question is not what I am trying to prove, it is what you are trying to prove and what evidence you have to back it. That's really what I've been asking for, but you just keep acting as if you are operating on some self-evident automatic definition. Unfortunately for you, I seem to have missed the memo and am wondering where exactly you are coming from with these propositions, prompting me to ask you where your evidence is in compliance with the burden of proof. (continued)
Really, what it basically boils down to is that you've made the claims and now it's time for you to back them up. Only problem is instead of backing them up you've gone off and referenced other things widely accepted as "wrong" (though 'tyranny' is highly ambiguous) in what seems to be an attempt to make me back down even though it's just a complete red herring.
Now, can we please get back to what I was asking you? I'd very much like some answers to my questions.
Obviously you did miss the memo. In fact, the entire history class! Because that's what would have to be given the run through in support of my philosophy! And then on to the old canard, "What is good? What is evil?
That would be quite the red herring in and of itself. So would you like to be the pot or the kettle?
Any fool without a profound rebuttal arguing against freedom can say "prove your philosophy" because it requires so little thought to say so. You could hardly call this a debate.
Style over substance fallacy. You are attempting to spout bitchwhine about how I argue rather than the validity of the questions I ask.
However, what we are conducting now is hardly a debate because you're refusing to provide any evidence for your widespread claims, leading me to doubt that you actually have evidence to support them. Now, are you going to support your claims or just attempt to hide behind fallacy?
So you're still insisting on "proving" a philosophy, are you? Or perhaps you really DON'T have a profoundly moral counterpoint to my argument for liberty and freedom. In fact, it looks like you WON'T have one. All you can say is "Where's the proof? Where's the proof?"
Hey! Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWII, fall of Berlin Wall. Terrible times fighting for freedom. Perhaps if they just held flowers and sang kumbaya...
If I showed you a bust of Socrates, does that prove his philosophy as true?
Bitchwhine bitchwhine bitchwhine "I can't prove it!" So what, you actually cannot provide an argument that your philosophy is absolutely correct, we just have to believe it on faith or something? That is called an ipse-dixitism =/
But like I said before, any simpleton without half a brain can demand proof. So why don't you pose a genuine thought-provoking rebuttal against my claims for freedom, instead of retardedly squealing for some phantom "proof" that lies outside of human nature? Hmm? Why don't you just do that?
"I can't back up my claims so I'm going to bitch at you about calling me on it!" Style over substance fallacy. Your dislike of the burden of proof does not render it invalid. If you cannot meet the burden of proof, your argument isn't much more than a load of hot air.
Because the validity of your question isn't valid. It's nebulous at best. You want "proof" that all men deserve to be free? That's the stupidest goddamn question that a stupid person could ask, and when I called you on it, you stupidly insist on "Waah! Waah! Me want pruuf!" like any tyranny-loving dick WOULD do. It's apparent you don't have a compelling argument against freedom, so you insist on this uninspired, yet mentally simple chore of repeating the same thing over and over again.
Because life would not be possible without it. If you weren't free to eat, drink, reproduce, learn, grow, etc. you could not live and neither could your species nor any other species. The very reason life exists is because it is free to do so. No freedom, no life. Perhaps a better question would we why the hell WOULDN'T we deserve freedom? It's not like we're concieved or born guilty, we deserve a shot at living freely before we're condemned for mistakes we haven't even made.
Muslims, Christians, and Jew all have a lot of common ground because they share the same god, and even some stories in their Qur'an, Bible, and Torah. Yet most don't want to point out the similarities. At least between Christians and Muslims anyway......

The bible makes it clear that no amount of " good deeds" can atone for the most minor of sins.
You cannot be saved through works.
You need to convert to catholocism and repent on your deathbed if your looking for a get out of jail free card.

(IOW, they may believe that Xtianity is about following rules, but if they are saved, then they are saved, regardless of what erroneous ideas they may have.)
gmbrannan 2 years ago
Jesus says to cut off your hand or gouge out your eye if either would allow you to sin and in the same passage proposes the idea of thoughtcrime (Matthew 5:27-30). Sorry, but not about following rules? And then there's that bit in James 2 about faith without deeds being useless...verses 14 to 24, I do believe.
Setar 2 years ago
No rules? Right....
fedea82 2 years ago
...Or it might have come from the damn bible and you don't know what you're talking about.
338dmac 2 years ago
Ephesians 2:8-9 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift— 9 not from works, so that no one can boast.
Salvation comes regardless of one's works. Once one is saved, then one is compelled by the Holy Spirit to do good works, not as a requisite for salvation, but as a natural product of your salvation.
I had another comment that explained this a bit differently, but it got lost somewhere in cyberspace.
gmbrannan 2 years ago
Well if being saved means you're going to do good works, and good works are a part of being saved, then good works are required to be saved. Just because A is part of B doesn't mean B can't be part of A. Every faith is about works, because works are what make one faithful. You can argue that it's the other way around also, but whatever.
338dmac 2 years ago
No, you are saved regardless. You will be saved even if you never perform a good work, such as the thief next to Jesus on the cross.
I used compelled, when maybe I should have used inspired. You want to do good things because of the love given to you by the Holy Spirit. It wells up within you and you want to share it with others.
gmbrannan 2 years ago
You're just reaffirming that faith includes doing good works and that doing good works is a part of faith. Evidently you aren't saved regardless because there IS no "regardless". If faith means you will want to and indeed will do acts of good, then you can't be faithful without doing acts of good. Apparently it can't be faith without doing good, so there is no such thing as being saved through faith without doing the good acts. It's a part of faith, and therefore a part of salvation.
338dmac 2 years ago
James 2:14-17, NIV:
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Setar 2 years ago 2
Do you want to talk about rules, or do you want to talk about good deeds? They are not the same thing. You are saved by GRACE through faith, FOR good works. Read the Bible in context, instead of just quote-mining.

The Constitution does not give us our rights. It sets up a system of protection for them. Therefore it's problematic to say rights are "man given." I believe the Constitution's framers believed more in a concept of natural rights.
GlorifiedTruth 2 years ago
So, then, if the Constitution isn't there, how do you have rights? What's stopping someone from saying you don't have them?
Rights are protected and granted by law. If there is no law saying "you have X right" then someone can just come along and say "you don't have X right" and be fully correct in saying so.
Setar 2 years ago
Interesting point. Innately, I believe the concept of rights must have arisen as some sort of social contract, which is more in keeping with what you are saying. To play devil's advocate, I could ask whether people in the Khmer Rouge had no rights (since the govt. didn't give them any) or whether in fact their natural rights were being denied by the government.
GlorifiedTruth 2 years ago
Try not to think of the Constitution so much as GIVING us rights as RESTRICTING abuses by government. This makes the case for why a government should NOT be centralized. If the government is decentralized, distributed power can easier keep a check on abuses made by politicians. After all, who will respect our laws if government doesn't?
These rights we DESERVE to have, & since they're hardly given by a totalitarian (efficient) state, we must be stewards of our own rights and SEIZE our rights!
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
The duty of government is to keep society running well, and it is better for the interests of the government to grant these rights and enforce them as the people will then be assured that the government cannot abuse them. However, if the people were taught well enough about fear and thoughtcrime a la 1984, they could easily lose a sense of those rights for their own security. The people in Oceania did not have rights because the Party did not give them rights.
Setar 2 years ago
But that's the thing. Our government was not MEANT to GIVE us rights. They were ours by birthright! They belong to us from the very ground up, and if the government thinks they even BEGIN to deserve to take away our rights, we are ENTITLED to take them back! To KEEP those rights! To OWN them!
Only the most massive PUSSIES believe the government should be our MOMMY!
Shit. Did I just define socialists as massive pussies? Oh dear! I didn't mean to be RIGHT!
Oh wait...
...yes I did!
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
Can you prove that these rights are "ours by birthright" as you claim them to be?
Furthermore, where did I claim that the government should act like a parent? Or are you just trying to construct a pathetic strawman in an attempt to hide behind your total lack of evidence to support the claim you are hanging your entire argument on?
Setar 2 years ago
Evidence for rhetoric. Good God! Why don't you say "Prove that it's wrong to steal"
Because we have basic rights to ourselves, and to our belongings, and to our own futures. And no other human, whether perceived to be a magically enlightened elite by mere virtue of majority vote, or by self serving justification such as "I was desperate" deserves to take those away.
And where did you claim government should be a parent? If your socialist, you don't have to. That's a socialist belief by default.
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
I could very well and validly say that, but I'll twist it: What is it that makes killing a human automatically wrong?
And you do not prove that these rights are "basic" nor that we are entitled to them. Can you prove this entitlement? Why are we entitled to these rights? Why can no one take them away?
Can you prove that this is a "socialist" belief by default? I think you may be hastily generalizing here, but I have little idea as to what exactly you define as socialist.
Setar 2 years ago
What the hell are you trying to "prove" exactly? The moral relativism of slavery? Or genocide? Or tyranny? You want PROOF that those things are wrong? Do you believe you are an alien? Nanoo, nanoo?
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
I think the question is not what I am trying to prove, it is what you are trying to prove and what evidence you have to back it. That's really what I've been asking for, but you just keep acting as if you are operating on some self-evident automatic definition. Unfortunately for you, I seem to have missed the memo and am wondering where exactly you are coming from with these propositions, prompting me to ask you where your evidence is in compliance with the burden of proof. (continued)
Setar 2 years ago
Really, what it basically boils down to is that you've made the claims and now it's time for you to back them up. Only problem is instead of backing them up you've gone off and referenced other things widely accepted as "wrong" (though 'tyranny' is highly ambiguous) in what seems to be an attempt to make me back down even though it's just a complete red herring.
Now, can we please get back to what I was asking you? I'd very much like some answers to my questions.
Setar 2 years ago
Obviously you did miss the memo. In fact, the entire history class! Because that's what would have to be given the run through in support of my philosophy! And then on to the old canard, "What is good? What is evil?
That would be quite the red herring in and of itself. So would you like to be the pot or the kettle?
Any fool without a profound rebuttal arguing against freedom can say "prove your philosophy" because it requires so little thought to say so. You could hardly call this a debate.
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
Style over substance fallacy. You are attempting to spout bitchwhine about how I argue rather than the validity of the questions I ask.
However, what we are conducting now is hardly a debate because you're refusing to provide any evidence for your widespread claims, leading me to doubt that you actually have evidence to support them. Now, are you going to support your claims or just attempt to hide behind fallacy?
Setar 2 years ago
So you're still insisting on "proving" a philosophy, are you? Or perhaps you really DON'T have a profoundly moral counterpoint to my argument for liberty and freedom. In fact, it looks like you WON'T have one. All you can say is "Where's the proof? Where's the proof?"
Hey! Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWII, fall of Berlin Wall. Terrible times fighting for freedom. Perhaps if they just held flowers and sang kumbaya...
If I showed you a bust of Socrates, does that prove his philosophy as true?
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
Bitchwhine bitchwhine bitchwhine "I can't prove it!" So what, you actually cannot provide an argument that your philosophy is absolutely correct, we just have to believe it on faith or something? That is called an ipse-dixitism =/
Setar 2 years ago
But like I said before, any simpleton without half a brain can demand proof. So why don't you pose a genuine thought-provoking rebuttal against my claims for freedom, instead of retardedly squealing for some phantom "proof" that lies outside of human nature? Hmm? Why don't you just do that?
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
"I can't back up my claims so I'm going to bitch at you about calling me on it!" Style over substance fallacy. Your dislike of the burden of proof does not render it invalid. If you cannot meet the burden of proof, your argument isn't much more than a load of hot air.
Setar 2 years ago
Prove what?
QuartuvLarry 2 years ago
Because the validity of your question isn't valid. It's nebulous at best. You want "proof" that all men deserve to be free? That's the stupidest goddamn question that a stupid person could ask, and when I called you on it, you stupidly insist on "Waah! Waah! Me want pruuf!" like any tyranny-loving dick WOULD do. It's apparent you don't have a compelling argument against freedom, so you insist on this uninspired, yet mentally simple chore of repeating the same thing over and over again.

Why is it stupid to ask you to prove your claim that we deserve freedom?

Because life would not be possible without it. If you weren't free to eat, drink, reproduce, learn, grow, etc. you could not live and neither could your species nor any other species. The very reason life exists is because it is free to do so. No freedom, no life. Perhaps a better question would we why the hell WOULDN'T we deserve freedom? It's not like we're concieved or born guilty, we deserve a shot at living freely before we're condemned for mistakes we haven't even made.
