Grohl's voice and energy carries the uninspired backing band (with the exception of the drummer) through the song. Hopefully it's the mixing that makes it sound this way because I don't understand how that many musicians can still make this cover sound that empty.

@Ralvacast Yeah I think it's just the mix... the guitar is nearly inaudible at the beginning but it gets better as it goes along. And come on, in a song by The Who, the guitar needs to be loud and proud at all times....
