@StarKnightGoku DS9 is in the same time frame as the LAST two seasons of TNG, Voyager started during season 4 of DS9, 2 seasons (2 years) after TNG ended
Now I don't dislike Voyager, in fact I remember it quite fondly. But its cast had a lot of potential for great character arcs, in fact better arcs than their DS9 counterparts so excellently carried out. The defector brought back into the fold, the hotheaded rebel who's got to learn to work with Starfleet--including the stick-up-the-ass disciplinarian Vulcan--the criminal who's got a second chance, the naive young kid thrown into an extreme situation who's got to learn on his feet.
And yet, other than the Doctor, no one ever lived up to their full potential. Not only that, all these great story elements were only touched on occasionally. Seeing this makes me mourn for what could have been if episodes like "Learning Curve" and "Day of Honor" had been the norm instead of the exceptions.
The announcer got it wrong. Voyager is the 4th series of the Star Trek franchise, not the 3rd. There was the original Star Trek, then The Next Generation, then Deep Space Nine, and then Voyager.
People give Voyager such a bad rap, personally I think Voyager ages well

If only 1995 knew exactly how awful Voyager would turn out, they would have thrown Berman and Braga out the proverbial airlock.

@CircleOfSignfighters I believe you're confused, Voyager was excellent. Still is excellent.

VOYAGER IS NOT FROM THE SAME TIME AS TNG! ITS THE SAME TIME AS DS9!

@JacobStewardWhitaker TNG and DS9 were from roughly the same timeframe.

Who would have guessed that Voyager was going to be what is perhaps in my opinion the best star trek series ever created!

they used scenes from previous Star Trek content and used the Aliens soundtrack at the end.

This is one of the few references to the Doctor as "Zimmerman"... Real proof that they had the working name for a while...

It's interesting that the producers of this video chose music from "The Hunt for Red October" for a Sci-Fi promo.
