Ring goes for shock values, and to be honest its not a bad movie but its not so much of a masterpiece, paranormal activity were super-low budget and they still managed to make an awesome movie, but it still ranks under these legendary movies.

Also Jaws is a horror movie, a presentation about the scary phenomena of nature.

The last broadcast is better when it comes to that genre. 3. The ring is alright but really didn't have that big of an impact on the film industrie.
