@ratty383 Not overweight. Towing limit of a 90 is 3500kg. 110 weighs 1950kg in soft top spec with 2.5 diesel engine. Trailer can be up to 1550kg, which it appears to be well within. Car has a flat tyre, which would be the cause of the accident. Car driver swerves into path of Land Rover, causing it to lose control.

@chunkyfecalbreakfast They're clipped in. You can see the pegs on the rear of the seat base. No requirement for the seat base to be secure against inversion. It's an ex -MOD 90 by the looks, and it could well have been removed to "secure" the battery wiring by chopping the main cables.

Actually Highways Agency officers can close the motorway if they decide it's necessary.

Often it is only for a short period of tme to facilitate their safety whilst removing debris or clearing an accident to the hard shoulder.

HA traffic officers have powers designated by the Secretary of State for Transport allowing them to do so.

if you drive a caravan or tow trailers please read the highway code first 60mph they all should be banned from our roads.

@radiomanwakefield The Land Rover 90 has a maximum towing limit of 3500kg on a braked trailer. The 110 weighs in at around 1950kg with a canvas roof and 2.5 diesel engine. That leaves a spare 1550kg for the trailer. Whuch appears that it will be well below. Nothing overloaded here. Probably caused by the car being out of control, due to a mechanical failure, causing the 90 to swerve and wobble. Notice the car has a flat tyre? There's the cause of it....
