  • Smooth as - forgot just how good she was - now liatening to all her songs and loving it. Graham - Melb- Aus

  • SoA all the way!

  • everyone seems to be all over the map about which version is best----i'd say they're ALL good----as cyd charrise said about dancing with fred astaire and gene kelly- they're like apples and oranges--both delicious...

  • Another great ballad by Skeater, god bless her, thanks for posting.

  • i love the beat version too(L)

  • just listened to 3 versions of this one by various artists and this is probably the most easy listening version

  • @raemond9425

did you listen the beat?? (A) (:

  • I've watched this about a hundred times in the last 2 days. LOVE this version... Why is it not available on iTunes ?????????????

  • Skeeter had a pure quality that's irresistible - simple, direct emotion. Lovely.

  • Skeeter Davis could sing hours of nursery rhymes and still it would be beautiful. They don't make singers like her anymore.

  • i dont like it i love it

  • always be a great ska song big respect all that sung it the beat is the best

  • she takes just like a woman ... but she breaks just like a little girl

  • ...IMO ..skeeter should be in the CMA hall of fame....also rock+roll...!

  • If you like this song and others like it, try a singer Haley Westerna. A voice of the angels.

  • @890mikael not anywhere as good as skeeter but then no one is

  • Beautiful over-dub!

  • Excellent country-pop version of this song...just listen to those soaring background vocalists.

  • Once again my musical angel sings like a house on fire ! She was so GREAT !

  • Skeeter is very underrated and does a great job here. Love the female background vocals too.

  • Thank God we still have the old music because most of today's sucks.

  • u nailed it baby!....totally agree with you!

  • Skeeter was always one of my favorites.

  • Thanks for posting this. I went out and bought the LP because of your post. Great LP. Thanks.

  • esta version me gusta mas que la de Andy Williams

  • GASP!!!! This is gorgeous !!!! I didn't know Skeeter did a version of this song. I've heard versions by The Beat & by Andy Williams and they're both excellent but this is the best by far !!

  • Excellent example of Country Pop. O what a wonderful version.

  • Beautiful! I used to have one by her on a 45 called "What am I gonna do with You?" Haven't heard it in decades.

  • Go to the RCA VIctor on the web, She recorded

    for them.

  • Andy Williams version is nice. But Skeeters version is much nicer! Something in her voice just brings magic in all the music she sings. Can anyone tell me what album this song came from? I would really like to know.

  • This was originally released on the 1963 RCA album "Cloudy With Occasional Tears".

  • One more GREAT song by the LOVELY and IMMENSELY TALENTED MARY FRANCES PENICK. Truly one of the GREATEST Vocalists of all time, not to mention one of the most WONDERFUL Women to ever walk this Earth!

  • This is an excellent song superbly done by Skeeter Davis.

  • By any chance does anyone have DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO US and THEY LISTENED WHILE YOU SAID GOODBYE as well as BURNING A HOLE IN MY MIND by Skeeter Davis?
