musodata! performance was mad brilliant! i found insporation to pick up my violin again, so i was wondering if you could pm the sheet music... much love/ keep playing these masterpieces!
This was a pleasure to watch and to listen to... a wee masterpiece ... tried to play the harmonium along with yous but gave up and just listened! Well done...
give me a couple of days and I'll scan it for you. You might want to write down Steve's bass chord outline as it is different to what might be on the chart.
In fact, email me on the weekend so I can do it then musodata at hot
I guess you are right when you say its not stylistically correct... but its great music played by musicians who listen to each other. Cant ask for more !
the intro is basically the 1st page of the 1st movement of Bach Emaj Partita for solo violin. I wouldn't say it's stylistically correct, given that I'm in a pub, and I spend all night improvising, but I think it is an appropriate way to make people think of other styles of music than they are used to.
ay...well i think its brilliant! i grew up listening to this style of music cos i used to raid my dads tape collection alot...all 'down home' and stuff.
youz guys are brilliant musicians thanks so much for posting this video.
Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on being Baching Mad on Classical Music Composer trading cards (issued in 1912): Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and many more included.
If JS Bach had been Irish....

i think it's a Maton. Steve does have a late '50s Fender 'Jazz',but only plays it rarely.

Google "JC's ABC tune finder" and enter "Blacktown jig" into the web site's search box.
