The gigabyte (pronounced /ˈɡɪɡəbaɪt/ GIG-ə-byt) is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information storage. The prefix giga means 109 in the International System of Units (SI), therefore 1 gigabyte is 1000000000bytes. The unit symbol for the gigabyte is GB or Gbyte, but not Gb (lower case b) which is typically used for the gigabit.

i just quited aoc beacuse i could only run the game on the lowest graphics but im soon getting a new pc and think im going back to aoc but i cant decide if i want to be ranger or barb

Download an UI , that will hopefully fix your minimap and make game experice much better.

@Soraia27 I love REH and Conan. I wanted to play this game so bad in 2008 but didn't have the rig for it, and then I heard horror stories about the launch. I still hear bad things about the PVP but since I'm getting a new computer soon, AoC is the first game I'm picking it up. I'm going to run this sucker on 2 Radeon 6850s in Crossfire mode - that practically qualifies as a second amendment right!

I'm right there with you. I quit after 2 months after release and last month tried the free trial. I couldn't believe it was the same game. Had this been the game they first released it would be a major force in the MMO market, but sadly a failed launch can doom a MMO forever.

Regardless, Godslayer is an amazing MMO.

In-fact the best quality products ( whatever you happen to look at ) are always the ones with smaller user base. I would not say AoC is better, it's different and appeals to a different type of gamer.

@WorgenInATopHat Well, don't take me wrong I am playing WoW right now ( again, Ysondre server, Gunbad char name ).  AS far as mounts you really need to read up about the new trainable mounts AoC introduced in the Godslayer expansion. Call me crazy but everything you mentioned I think AoC does as well if not better, though WoW can be more fun, that much is true.

As far as your opinion about WoW that is exactly what it is, your own opinion, nothing more, nothing less. You really do not seem to have a clue about AoCs quests. It's nice that you have a game that you like, but silly statements that you make only make you look like a fanboy with zero knowledge og games other then wow.

@WorgenInATopHat WoW flying mounts don't do anything. Everyone hates Netherstorm, and it will take you 3 weeks to LFG even after you turn 80. Fun = no. It's grindy. WoW has gnomes...you like gnomes? Enough said. Try to say postive things about AoC. I've never played it but am hating WoW because you are misrepresenting it.

@MrGunbad o/ gun i also played on release and played it for about 3-4 months, i left cause of bugs and mainly as you got to higher lvl just wasnt as much content, also my class was bugged :p but ive heard its got better can you tell me would it really be worth trying it again?

:D sup. I like the whole directional swing but do each class get special abilities? Like rogues get ..(rupture,eviscerate,gouge,sa­p,kick,sinister strike) Is it like this in AOC? I hate this type of combat.

@MrGunbad No. You dont know what i mean. I know a game needs different skills for each class. Im saying that in AoC. Do warriors/and all classes swing the sword and hit the enemy or do they use like "critical shot" or something? This is the best example i can think of the top of my head.

As a rogue in WoW, just say i use "sap", "Blind", eviscerate and then sinister strike or something to kill them.

In Aoc do you hit the directional swings to kill or do you use abilities like in WoW?

@LegendTupacRiP Age of COnan has perhaps the best combat system our of all mmorpgs. Combat is directional, so you can hit left low, left, left high, front, and thesame on right. That alone, without anything else, gives you more options and possibilities then anything else out there. You ( and everyone ) also has directional shields, left, front, right and back and you get to decide where to assign the most defense. Funcom conceived something really special in AoC with combat.

I would really like to give the game another try, i also quit after about 2-3 months into it. what really got me upset was when your character progress would get lost or you would never be able to reload your character to continue playing. I got pist cause i lost my guardian and sin like that. they would just get locked from gameplay.

Veteran Tokens are gained from how many months you have payed subscription. I payed for 12 months last time they had it "on sale" and noticed that i got one year of vet points from it instantly. I could them afford a swift horse in the veteran vendor rather than grinding 100 Gold for it.

I think the game is just outstanding now, and this is even before the expansion. Did you see the mounts for the expansion ? INSANE !

@DjEmet AoC will always remain as one of the better mmos out there for sure. Even today there are some bugs in it ( mostly new ones ) but it's far, far better then it was. Graphically the best mmo out there easily.

I don't think AoC's graphics are significantly better than LOTRO's. Gameplay is what kept this game from being sucessful. AoC's combat might be fun as a single player game but once you get to pvp it becomes a strafing game of whack a mole and group play doesen't offer much real strategy. Directional strategy will never take the place of counters, interupts, stuns, ect. that most all other MMO's offer for a reason. I really wanted to like AoC since I loved AO, what a dissapointment.
