I fucking love Nicole. She is fantastic, but PCD was done poorly and everyone knows that. So don't act like it 'worked'. There's a reason everything fell apart and resentment was born from PCD.

People need to chill. This video was a rehearsal performance that Melody Thornton was doing warming up her vocals for a performance she had on April 9, 2011 in Palm Springs, CA at The White Party. Melody is not tone deaf, nor is she screaming in this... Her pitch is very similar to Christina Aguilera's vocals. Melody was the only other member besides Nicole Scherzinger that was allowed to sing in the group. And Mel was always my favorite PCD member.

While I agree Melody is a nice singer, it seems like either she doesn't have very good control over her vocal or we have to realise she mightn't want to do so. The lack of being able to sing along with a track can be why labels send the singer back to the studio to re-do the song, to make it singing-friendly. I rather like Melody's low vocal in the Gaga song and I think the belting is better suited to ad libs, otherwise it does come across as screaming. Jazz music could be good for her.
