At my local news stand, about half the magazines use female skin on the covers. Two, maybe three, of those magazines are aimed at men.

If (we)women are competitive and only seek attention by selling our bodies through porn or portraying oursleves as sluts, then how come there are still organizations that advocate women's rights when we are in fact the ones that violate our own rights ourselves? @embracingreality Actually, I'm with you. Not also are these women degradng themselves but they are also setting a bad example for us women to follow instead of doing something productive. They just want men to want them so they go ahead and do these things to draw attention and interest. By the way, I almost forgot, feeling desired or admired is a whole different thing than being objectified.

At my local news stand, about half the magazines use female skin on the covers. Two, maybe three, of those magazines are aimed at men.
The objectification of women would not happen, if women stopped objectifying themselves. If you're not doing it, whenever it suits your own manipulative agenda, and want to blame someone, blame the women who pose for these pictures. THEY are the ones who use their bodies to exploit men financially and at the cost of women's health.

Being a teenage girl, when I see movies etc. that objectify women and I see the way my guy friends react to it, I DO feel like I have to look like that to be liked by guys. And it really does lower my self esteem, and makes me dislike my body more.
A lot of the comments from men on this video really sicken me. Please try to understand how your attitude really does affect women and girls before posting dumbass comments.

Actually study show that these add are not the cause for low self-esteem in women. Women have low self-esteem because of how they feel they relate to other around them. The media plays a very small role in how women feel about themselves.

It is sad...the women do this because men have made it a market, men were the first to start porn, and to exploit the sexuality of women. I understand we all like sex, but can we all learn to control ourselves? I am completely satisfied with my boyfriend, I have such a deep emotional/physical attractment to him that I do not need pictures/porn of naked men. I think that if men are single, and didn't watch porn, they would take care of themselves more and try harder to find a decent woman.

I'm happy that you were taught properly to be a real man and respect women, but when you begin to analyse the media, you'll find that there is no real respect for any gender.
